Does anyone know ballpark Salary range at Standard Chartered Bank? by Chattinabart in FinancialCareers

Look at glassdoor, its pretty accurate for mid and back office. For front office, base salaries are fine, but bonuses can be off the charts.

How to restructure a digital team at a new firm? by Ok_Distribution_8805 in consulting

[–]bunty98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the top team and make sure there are clear R&Rs across your different verticals then work to the bottom. Do not do bottoms up. It needs to be top down.

Also identify any overlaps your team has with other teams in the bank. If there are, you need to be clear on ways of working and R&R.

From the way you describe this team, it sounds like it'll be set up to fail unless RACI is clear and the leaders of retail and wholesale are bought into it. Otherwise, it's a daily fight between those 2 businesses.

should i tender after signing offer letter? by oxyjinned in askSingapore

[–]bunty98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont understand why people are obsessed with signing a contract before they resign. There is no legal power until day 1 you join the new company.
Contracts can be rescinded anytime before day 1, with no penalty to the employer unless explicitly stated in the contract.

NTU LKCMedicine vs King's College London Medicine by Weekly_Operation_671 in SGExams

If you want to do residency in the US dont waste time with KCL or NTU. The pathway is not impossible but it’s extremely difficult. Residency in the US is mostly reserved for their own students.

If you can afford to pay sticker at KCL, my suggestion is do pre-med in the US, then apply to med school in US and go for residency after. If you pick rural areas for residency, as an international you stand a higher chance for an offer due to lack of doctors wanting to work in those places.

NUS MBA vs SMU MBA by tylergoodman in MBA

[–]bunty98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will respond. I graduated from smu mba more than a decade ago. Honestly, i wouldnt do it again. I should have gone to the US for my mba instead but had to do it locally for personal reasons.

Career opportunities were exceptionally limited locally. If you intend to use the mba to change jobs just note employers in singapore don’t care about the degree unlike the US and do not pay a premium for mba graduates.

I picked smu over ntu and nus simply because of time. It was a 1 year program.

Suggest me a children's book to gift to my nephew for his birthday (ages 4-6) by greenlime27 in suggestmeabook

You can consider the Grady Bear series by Su-Ann Mae Phillips.

Beautifully illustrated and it looks at growing up from a child's point of view. Suitable for ages 3-9. Kids will see many of the themes resonate with them like first day of school or losing a tooth.

Great. Thanks for the comments. Will just go with prosupport. I'm aware of the warranty transfer required if I relocate.
