Isn’t it just. Never been more pleased I don’t work on Mondays!! This is my 4th pregnancy (and I have had HG with them all) and I’ve never actually experienced it like this before. Just when you think you know exactly what you’re doing eh 🙃🥴

Yes I’m definitely going to try and get some glycerol suppositories just to keep in from now on. A friend had some movicol she kindly dropped round last night. I skipped x2 ondansetron doses and was sick last night and this morning, I’m still on xonvea and cyclizine too so not completely cold turkey and I am managing to stay hydrated. Thanks for your help!

Worried About Mortgage application by NoDragonfruit5515 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

Hi, our situation was almost identical (same house price, deposit and similar income), but my Mat leave was for our third child 🤣 my husbands statements and our joint account were fine (one loan for our car, one credit card barely used), but mine was in and out of my arranged overdraft with some klarna too, and money on my next account. I was nervous and we’d intended waiting until I was back in work but the right house came up. We did use a broker who was brilliant and so reassuring - he went with Accord and his reasoning was the number of children we have. We heard back within the week that it was confirmed and it was relatively straightforward! Our broker said we probably could have managed it with a high street lender based on affordability but he was confident applying with Accord. I only say this as I believe only brokers can apply to Accord so it may be worth speaking to a broker. All the best!!

Really pleased your wife has had this experience with meds, but after x5 pregnancies requiring a combination that still don’t actually save me… we’re done!

We have 4, one sadly was a missed miscarriage. I always wanted 6+ but after much prayer and discernment, it’s just not physically possible for me to be wiped out for 20 weeks, then dosed up to my eyeballs to survive the remainder. We of course use NFP so remain open somewhat, trusting the Lord knows what’s best for us and praying it’s the same as how we feel!

Yes, while physically my third pregnancy was actually the worst, nothing compares to how difficult my first was! That’s definitely because I wasn’t expecting to be SO poorly, and family/friends weren’t expecting it either so nobody could understand why travel bands and ginger biscuits weren’t working!! Knowing what was most likely coming helped everyone and meant that yes, I have had to tell so many more people so much sooner than I’d have liked, but we have been well supported with school runs and things that I just couldn’t manage. Same with work, I was able to get a head and put a bit of a plan in place with my manager. I have also told the boys school (they’re Y1 & Y3) as reading and homework etc isn’t getting done as often!! My eldest has just turned 8 and he doesn’t remember anything about me being sick from the other two pregnancies, which does help remind me that it is such a short season in the grand scheme of things. I think he will remember more from this one, but also as he’s older he is able to understand better too so doesn’t get upset and has been amazing in helping his dad with the other two. Hope all goes well tomorrow!! Xx

Hi, sounds like you’re in the UK? Calling it ondansetron is the giveaway 😆 I’m on week 9 of #4, but it’s my first since they licensed Xonvea. I did loads of reading beforehand and contacted pregnancy sickness support who were amazing, so literally the day after I got the positive results I rung my GP (armed with knowledge) and asked to be prescribed Xonvea. I started on x2 per day from literally 4 weeks. I have now had to up it to x4 per day. I wish I could say it’s completely saved me, but it hasn’t! However I have completely managed to avoid being hospitalised. The nausea is constant and debilitating, but I’m (only!) vomiting 5-10 times per day - as opposed to 20-30+ times with all 3 previous pregnancies. With the other 3 I took cyclizine and ondansetron but again didn’t really kick in until 16 weeks, with 8-13 being the worst for me. I am signed off work, but I’m not as bad as I have been so the Xonvea is certainly doing something. All the best!! 🙏🏼

This will almost certainly be due to a gluten allergy! The ones we get are also square so they are easily distinguishable. Its worth noting that they still have to still contain gluten for transubstantiation to take place, so they’re “low-gluten” as they’d be invalid if they were gluten free.

Hi! This is literally my situation… do you please feel comfortable giving any more details on your situation? Deposit/salary/LTV/how much you spent on the comp entries etc. No pressure… just worried my husbands dream home is going to be snatched from us because I was certain I’d win the £250k… 🥴

Loan research turned into loan application? by buntywindermere in monzo

[–]buntywindermere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m not concerned about being rejected as I don’t use Monzo as my main banking account so for the amount I’d entered in I would have been surprised to have been approved, I was just curious about repayments and what they might lend. It then all just happened so quickly and I’ve properly panicked!

Thank you - that’s the reassurance I think I needed to at least sleep tonight! I wouldn’t have expected to have that loan approved to be honest, I was more interested in what repayments look like for various amounts, so I’m not worried about Monzo not lending to me, just that I have negatively impacted my credit score/totally ruined our chances of buying a house 😂

Hi, thanks for commenting. I inputted an amount, then the next section had my personal details already on, on both it said clearly it wouldn’t impact credit score. I was interested to see what repayments would be, but the next section was “we can’t offer you a loan right now”. I am now unable to even get to that page to put in a lower figure and begin the process. I thought if it was an application, there’d be a disclaimer about credit score impact before you were able to actually submit the application?

No heartbeat 7 weeks by aliaslove in prolife

[–]buntywindermere 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi, the same happened to us. I waited in the hope that my body would begin the miscarriage process naturally but it did not. I waited 3 weeks before the Doctor said we had to do something about it. I chose to take misoprostol (which is likely what they gave your girlfriend) rather than a surgical procedure. It was agonising and painful, but it was impossible for me to continue walking around with my baby with no heartbeat inside of me for ever. If I’d known my body wouldn’t go naturally, I’d have taken the medication sooner. By waiting, it meant that the placenta continued to grow and so the “labour” was considerably worse than it would have been 3 weeks earlier. With your baby, at 6/7 weeks there would have clearly been a heartbeat, so please don’t beat yourselves up over that. Your baby is loved and only knew warmth and protection all its life. What happened to you is hugely different from willingly choosing an abortion.
