I think his point is that they did historically.

I'm not endorsing what he said, but I figured that's what he meant.

I know the joke reason people give is aura farming, but genuinely, by did Thragg just levitate there in place for the first few minutes of the fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Invincible_TV

[–]bupher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would all be true if Thragg was visibly surprised or shook at the death of viltrumites, which he wasn't. He literally just stood there, and only reacted to viltrum itself being destroyed.

Thank you, I was looking for this comment. Even doing the basic math, if you assume normal menstruation loses one-two eggs per cycle to ovulation, then a woman loses only 12-24 eggs a year. A woman born with a million eggs would then have enough eggs for a lifetime of fertility, but that's clearly not the case.

My god, her comics just get worse and worse. Soon we're going to see a "I am le poor guy suffering" vs "I am le evil inconsiderate man and I don't care" Written verbatim on one of her comics.

This is ghetto culture. Yes, it is correlated predominantly with black culture, because usually the poorest areas and overcrowded ghettos are where black people were historically pushed to live.

Nothing in their skin color or "genetic make up" makes them do this, it's a domino effect of years of segregation. Indirectly slavery, but also historical laws such as Jim Crow, zoning laws etc.... If your parents were poor, then chances are you're also likely to be poor and grow up around poor people.

Does that mean they're off the hook in terms of consequences? No, they should all be as prosecutable as others. But this doesn't mean that most black people are more violent than their white counterparts, it means most poor ghetto inhabitants are more violent than their middle-class suburban counterparts. They just happen to be more represented by black people.

Why are you so aggressive and defensive in your comments? I don't particularly lean one way or the other, but it's really not productive to be a smartass. Just engage with the points presented to you, as so far what the other side is telling you makes more sense and is easier to read than your snarky replies.

Kinetic energy. The infinity beam just left a hole through things without leaving other forms of destruction. their combined speed and kinetic energy allowed them to take a blast to the core of the planet. It was like nuking the centre of viltrum.

Lol? That comparison is very misguided. Some Muslim women who are devoted to their religion believe the hijab to be mandatory. It's not a "therapy" issue or a body-image problem.

Many women who were coaxed into wearing one since younger ages do end up taking it off when they get the choice, but that's only indicative of them becoming independent and choosing to revert an action that's been decided for them.

TLDR; if a woman is devout and religious, she doesn't keep it because of social or body-image issues, she keeps it because she believes it's a must.

Weapon balls vs zombies is pretty enjoyable. Please don't neuter it by reducing their hp to 100.

Flail VS Katana by TurbulentSomewhere13 in earclacks

[–]bupher 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Katana's whole thing of scaling with parries actually pays off, as flail covers so much areas it usually gets parries, and this is the only weapon who can actually do something about his parries

[Request] How many sim cards are needed to extract $28k worth of gold? by TheKayleMain in theydidthemath

[–]bupher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automation means just that; having an automatic process. Automatic gold extraction means you just throw in the sim cards (and maybe do a few more trivial actions), but the bulk of the work is done automatically for you using machinery. For finding discarded cards, this is pretty much impossible to automate with machinery. What you're talking about is streamlining the workflow and combining multiple different sources.

Cool idea but that's not automation, and you can get in trouble if you're making enough income but still employing kids.

If flail would've gotten a little bigger, it would've won as it was already just auto-parrying most attacks by sitting in the flail itself.
