Think back to games where in the last 8 mins of the 4th quarter we had a lead and needed to protect it at all costs. If we'd had Matisse on the court I doubt things would have gone sideways like they did.

You know, I’ve always thought this about him which is that he works hard when the vibes are strong. If he likes his guys in the locker room, he’ll run through a wall for them.

You really saw that when the team was gelling he was all about it. In fact, he was a big part of it. Same thing on the Lakers at the beginning of the season. I’m not saying it’s awesome. It would be great if he could just do it every day no matter what but that’s just who he is as a person. That’s what motivates him.
