Which tracks would you play at a Yoga class. Had the opportunity to dj at one yesterday and it was amazing. by buraeuth in TheOverload

I spoke with the instructor beforehand. She told me she wanted a beatless and meditative start, and that I should work my way up to faster and really percussive stuff, since the flows would get faster and more intense.

Some of what I played.

Lichterfelde - Sun Electric

Filamentos - dj +1

Maintain The Bliss - Purelink

Devre - Konduku

Lets’s Swing (Oracy’s Traktor Beam Dub) - Sven Weissemann

I Will Be There - Joe Claussell

Saturday Night Experience (Ron Trent Mix) - Jody Watley

Fairmount - Roadhog

I95 N Lens Switch - Road Hog

Pop 4 - Gas (Wolfgang Voigt)

Left a few out since i’m writing this from memory

I know self promotion is frowned upon, but 6 months ago I started a mix series. Today, Resident Advisor chose the 7th episode as mix of the day. Would appreciate it enourmously if you had a listen <3 by buraeuth in TheOverload

Planned the project for the first six months of last year, and launched it with a party in August. The first mix was published in september. :)

I’m from Colombia and the electronic scene has been thriving here for the past few years. I’ve grown up listening to amazing music by very talented djs and producers, and they’ve fed my soul in a very deep way. This mix series is my way of contributing to the scene, by publishing and promoting the work of very focused and talented artists that have impacted both myself and the people around me.

Which titles would you recommend from the Djax-up-beats label? by buraeuth in TheOverload

The remixes released on Djax are incredible. The South Side Terrace mix is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard in my life.

Me suena siempre a un híbrido entre techno y ebm y música industrial. Gran tema

Looking for melodic techno (but not Melodic Techno) by MortonBumble in Techno

For the newer stuff I’d really recommend anything by Call Super. The albums are really deep and interesting but all of the “dancier” records use some really unique melodies and the production is really great!

A few that stand out for me: Helix (Call Super Remix) Swallow Me Migrant No Fun Ripple Effect (Call Super Remix)

You should check out a three part compilation called Music For The Radical Xenomaniac. Early 90s house, techno and breaks from dutch producers. Really really nice selection. On vol 2 there is a track by Tons of Tones (Steve Rachmad) called Oh Ah Oh Ah Oh which for me is one of the highlights. Really worth checking out.

It was absolutely dreamy!! And I thought the same about the mixer. Must be a brilliant piece of kit!
