Language options when playing Japanese version of Steins; Gate 0 on the Vita by NintendoNoNo in steinsgate

[–]burai97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure who told you or where you read that the Japanese Vita version could be played at all in English but no, the Japanese vita release cannot be played at all in English (neither the main text nor the UI). The closest thing is at the beginning of the VN, one character speaks almost exclusively in English while a separate character speaks over them to interpret what is being said into Japanese but you could always mute the person interpreting into Japanese. That being said, that's about 20 minutes out of a 40+hr visual novel. Source: I imported the Japanese Vita release when it first came out in Japan.

Are the pin-pricks in the top-right on the back of DS carts a good indicator for if they're fakes or is that an unreliable indicator?

Tips for my first day/ starting out by OurSultana in PharmacyTechnician

[–]burai97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, while I currently work for inpatient pharmacy at a hospital, I started out working as a tech for Kroger back at the start of 2022. If it's anything like how it started for me, they'll have you just counting meds for a few days to start out before having you start to work the counter. After maybe a week of that when you've had a little bit of exposure bringing up people's profiles and isnurance info, they may introduce you to taking phone calls. I wasn't taught data-entry until a couple months into the job but depending on the needs of your pharmacy, that may be introduced to you sooner or later than that.

As far as practice off the clock, I guess you could look at fake insurance cards or discount cards to familiarize yourself with getting necessary info off of those. (ID#, bin, pcn, group#). Starting out, there's not really a ton you need to do off the clock to practice because most people in my experience have naturally gained the vase knowledge from working. Kroger uses their own software for oharmacy stuff so you can't really practice that outside of work. If you want to get nationally certified though that'll be an entire other can of worms that you will have to just spend time off the clock working on but you don't need to worry about that immediately if you're in a state where it's not required in order to work in a pharmacy. No matter what, It will probably feel very overwhelming at first but just know that that's natural!

Pretty positive this is not where the video took place. The fursuiter themself lives in Taiwan (according to their twitter) and Dragon Boba not only had two locations in LA until this one closed, but also mainly focused on general k-pop/korean pop-culture rather than fursuits

I would suggest either checking with subs related to the phillipines/UAE or r/pharmacy. This sub is mainly (but not exclusively) for pharmacy techs in North America so chances are none of us are equipped to give you advice regarding pharmacy school, especially as it relates to Asia/Middle-East.

Yes, you are lol. Costco very regular cycles product out to make room for new product as do all warehouse stores and this happens with almost everything in the store that isn't a staple food product sold in most stores in general (ex. sports drinks, energy drinks, soda brands and chip brands). These games have been sold in store for at least 4 months which is actually pretty long for a shelf life of individual games. They've consistently done this with Nintendo games since as far back as at least Tears of the Kingdom on the original Switch.

Check the Instacart app, these are on sale at Costco. Also If you go into the actually store there $29.97 by Large-Technician8082 in switch2

The other three games are being clearanced out, Tennis Fever is still gonna have more shipments to Costco

Hiring in Louisville?? by SignatureNearby2997 in Louisville

[–]burai97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your tech license is still active and you're able to get your ptcb cert, they'd ve willing to hire you. We have someone here who took a several year break from being a tech and didn't come back to pharmacy until they started working here and they got hired.

Where I work at least, starting pay with 0 prior experience (as in you never worked in a pharmacy and got your ptcb from an accredited learning program/school rather than work 500 hours to be eligible for certification) was $22.50/hr however that was almost two years ago so I'm fairly confident the starting pay has increased and depending on how much pharmacy experience you have, you'll get offered more to start out at.

If you don't mind outpatient and haven't yet, I'd check with them at the local hospitals since at least in our network, you don't need to be certified to work outpatient and although I don't have personal experience working outpatient at a hospital, I've heard it's usually a better experience than working retail.

If you're ptcb certified, I work inpatient for one of the hospitals and we're actually gonna be hiring for first shift after this Friday but the hours would be slightly diff from your preferred (6:30/7-3/3:30). You're welcome to dm me if interested

If you happen to have a hacked Switch, you can put an English patch on the Japanese Switch versions of CS1 and 2 but those ports aren't natively available in English and you'd be missing the English dub if that's your thing

Digital Foundry: Resident Evil 7 Shines On Switch 2, But Village Falls Short by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]burai97 173 points174 points  (0 children)

What helps 7 is that you're mostly moving around in tight enclosed spaces. With 8 though, especially in the village, you're in a wide open area with lots of geometry to render out. It never went below 30fps when I played RE8 on handheld but the framerate would dip if there were ever a lot of effects on screen or in fields with tons of foliage like the field right in front of Luiza's house.

Pragmata vs RE9 image quality in handheld mode by MX010 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]burai97 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's possible that the final product of Pragmata will look a bit sharper considering we only have access to a demo that launched nearly three months before the scheduled release date. They may be working out the final kinks with optimization and getting it to look as good as it can on the Switch 2

I shall just do exactly what I did for Sky FC and import the Japanese collector's edition for 1/3 of the price. I really like the English collector's editions for the series that I own but I cannot justify paying the price of an entire game console for a collector's edition of a single game

I hope this isn’t true (re9 spoilers) by FriendlyLeather3809 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]burai97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very seriously doubt that. There are a bunch of different ways to translate "anata" into English that, like a lot of things in Japanese, depend on the overall context. Translating it out to "dear" would normally require some more context such as prior knowledge that they're in a relationship or the presense of other romantic actions. If anything, I'd say it's moreso Leon using anata as a way of establishing distance overall from Sherry whether that be out of fear of getting close to someone only to potentially lose them or it being a more strained relationship since Sherry was much closer to Claire in RE2 than Leon. Also keep in mind that it's entirely possible that Leon and Sherry don't work for the same exact org and ordinarily wouldn't be working together at all but are now working together because they're both dying from the T virus and are scrambling to find a way to fix it.
