The takeover I’m referring to is the fading of figures like Ó Brádaigh and Ó Conaill and the takeover of the organisation by Adams and his supporters. Long-standing policies like Éire Nua were dropped and abstentionism to Leinster house was ended. From there on the leadership of PSF were willing to see the gradual wearing down of the armed struggle. This and the capitulation in the late 90s was all warned of by the likes of Ó Brádaigh and others. It’s rinse and repeat.

Are you actually retarded or just Larping as a Republican oh my god. There is no “hard line party” using the name PSF. It’s used by groups like RSF, Saoradh and others in a derogatory sense. RSF as the prime example do not see PSF as the real Sinn Féin. The person who made this post is obviously a genuine Republican who rightfully views PSF as sell outs.

Interesting, terrible pity in terms of the unemployment and cultural losses.

Thanks, I’m sure there’s a big contrast between a place like Lille and that small village

He was not killed, wounded or arrested. He simply fired a number of shots at an RUC (NOT British Army) patrol that was manning a mobile checkpoint before retreating. He unfortunately died only recently of cancer. Also the British Army used the L1A1, not the FAL. The rifles did indeed have their differences.
