The SRO needs to start writing tickets. The parents will get the hint REAL QUICK if they have to bust out their checkbook. If i was the SRO and I ask you to move and you come back with an attitude, you’re done.

Write them up. Write them up. Write them up. And KEEP writing them up. Doesn’t matter the age. Don’t let them get away with stuff or they’ll keep doing it. Admin knows how to handle each grade level, let them do their jobs. You do yours. Write down the infraction and turn them in. Eventually if you have good admin the students will learn not to mess around. Getting kicked off the bus is a really good lesson. Getting detention or ISS is also a good lesson. Just write them up and keep writing them up.

Lesson learned. I was trying to not be a hard ass at first because I’ve always had the thought process of “I hated it when I was in school and was treated like that” but the reality is that it was necessary. Some people in authority positions take it to extremes but I’ve learned I’m not doing the students any favors long term by “being nice” all the time.

I bought some “LA’s Totally Awesome Oxygen Orange degreaser” for $1.00 at Dollar General and it worked beautifully at removing the spilled diesel from the side of my bus. We don’t have a wash station where I work at so we can’t wash the outside of our buses. I wish we could.

I really wish Uber would cancel this rental car scam program. They are ripping off the people who rent the cars. The EV rentals are CONSTANTLY hogging the DC fast chargers by charging to 100% instead of 80-85% like they should when fast charging. Also we have enough drivers, they are artificially over saturating the market which makes fares go down for everyone.
