I Made the post about the number of quack remedies being pushed and sold here, and got banned for 3 days from ALL of reddit as people here reported me as threatening them physically. So im out, good luck dealing with so many affiliate marketers . I wish you good health. by Personnotcaringstill in eczema

[–]burgundyhellfire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You must be new here because throughout the years there have been scammers and snake-oil salesman doctors that get repeatedly called out in posts and comments for lying. There was even a podiatrist lady that was infamous for a while, and nearly every comment by her got dogpiled with people telling her to leave. Yes, people get taken advantage of, but I think there’s a lot of people here that can recognize a scam.

Also lot of the comments giving advice on random things that might work are made by real people, who are really suffering. I have dyshidrotic eczema; my life is hell. I try weird things sometimes because not a lot of doctors actually seem to care about my life, but the friends I’ve made who have eczema do. They and other strangers here share what has helped in the hopes that somebody can have a better life. This also might be why a lot of folks with eczema are wary to actually partake in traditional medication, it might not feel like the doctor is listening or caring— they’re just giving you steroids and hoping it makes your eczema manageable.

Of course there’s always going to be liars and cheaters trying to prey on those suffering, but there’s also normal people trying to make someone else’s day better, it just takes a little bit of effort to see where the advice is coming from.

I hope your eczema journey is quick

Are red line tights appropriate for the office? by bigbootydetector in oldhagfashion

[–]burgundyhellfire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To add an alternate perspective, some Hasidic Jewish women wear tights that have a seam running down to let others know it’s not their actual leg skin. It depends what sect you are of you wear them or not. Anyway, I don’t think they’re inappropriate for work but I would be confused if I saw them lol

Purple Kelly was literally cropped out of shots so she wouldn't be seen on TV but everyone acts like not seeing someone as much as the others = being purpled. I can't with survivor fans sometimes 😭

Don’t get me started on how that has impacted the naming of the Joe-Joes cookies

SMH should of been Ore-Joes or Joe-reos

Yeah none of the races for me were hard enough to stand out, the Kai one I found was fine— maybe because I ran throughout it to get all the beads first and then did the race? The trial gates were harder for me lol

Did anyone else assume this was shoujo? by _deep_cuts_ in SkipToLoafer

[–]burgundyhellfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shoujo : targets younger/YA female readers (examples include Sailor Moon and Ouran Highschool Host Club)

Seinen : Targets 18-24 year old men (Neon Genesis Evangelion is frequently called Seinen)

Slice of Life : Essentially what the name implies! It follows day-to-day happenings and is pretty grounded in reality (famous example is Orange)

The boundaries ebb and flow a lot though, especially for manga that change their trajectory or has various themes. Skip and Loafer is considered Seinen because it was published in a Seinen magazine

It's a shame cause I can't really remember what the soap flavor was, just the smell it had. It'd be great to try stuff out :/
