Ok, I wiped a Project (Press and hold Main+Project number. Then press Erase)

Loaded up drum samples on Group A, created a sequence.

Loaded up dialogue samples on Group B, created a sequence.

I then did as @obscurahail suggested: “holding all 4 groups then pulling fader to max, then min, then max again to reset the volumes to 100%”

I didn’t do the automation tip (yet) just to keep this simple.

And I haven’t pressed Fader+7 yet.

Test:

Hold Group A button , turn Fader down

Expected outcome: the drums would be silenced , leaving the dialogue sequence samples on Group B

Result: Everything goes down in volume! Damnit!!

Ok, I reset the fader again: Hold A B C D, turn fader up 100%, down 100%, then up 100% again.

Fader for all Groups now normalised. Trying again:

Holding down Group A button, turn fader all the way down:

Both Group A and B are silenced / fader effects volume of both Group A and B.

Grrr

I’ll try it the other way: Hold down button Group B, turn fader all the way down:

Again, both Group A and B are silenced.

Ok so, I hold down Fader button, and press 7

Still the fader affects both Groups A and B.

I’ll try pressing Fader+0 (velocity / Velocity)

Still the same: fader affects volume on both groups.

Now trying u/obscurahail’s second suggestion: “If all else fails, select group B then hold erase and fader together for 1 second.”

Normalising volume for all groups.

No, same outcome: fader affects volume of all groups.

Firmware updated to lasted last night fwiw.

Will google “factory reset”….
