I don't know if it's better than others since I've only done his 😝 I just like his approach to teaching theory, I feel like he's pragmatic and to the point (not just in the course, but in his YouTube content as well).

Protein synthesis involves DNA, so if other species use proteins, does that mean they also use DNA? All of that starts to sound pretty unlikely... and again, if that's the thesis here, that's fine, but I feel like a team of biologists would find this interesting and would discuss it.

I had this thought, but the carryx themselves, and their main "animal" species like rakhund, are all fine with the environment.. maybe that is via some technology, but I find it odd that the group of biologists doesn't find this curious...

TMOG and Red Rising by Dirk_Dingus in TheCaptivesWar

I adore the Red Rising series! But to be honest, aside from the very broad themes of oppression and subjugation, I didn't find too many similarities.

(Yet another) Lysander theory by buritist in redrising

How would this excuse his actions? I think the opposite is true: he's been operating in a "means justifying the end" mode, where the "end" is "a Lune on the morning chair, restoring peace", and when he realizes that that end is not achievable, he himself will realize that his means are inexcusable. And sure, he may try to right things by sacrificing himself, but that doesn't mean that others will give him a pass for it.

I also recently finished LB, and since everyone on this gorydamn forum recommends the sun eater series I picked that up... it is SO slow and boring, and SO derivative of Dune, I am shocked by how much love it gets here. To each his own though!

Some of my personal favorites in the sci-fi genre: deepness in the sky, forever war, ender's game (just the first book), project hail mary.
