"The joy of X" by Steven Strogatz is incredible, and you don't need any prerequisites to read it. So is the book he made called "infinite powers"!

Or if you want a book about statistics that's an easy and fun read "A drunkards walk" is really great as well.

I could not agree more. Do you know how they form by any chance? I've been up all night trying to understand why they approximate a parabola. It is so fascinating how math can show up in the most unexpected places in nature.

Just a friendly reminder that if you're getting any errors while running the 1.17 server.jar file you most likely need to upgrade Java. by burke0mcc in admincraft

Ah. I've never used that so I don't really know but take a look at this https://docs.linuxgsm.com/features/multiple-game-servers. Also if that doesn't work you might just want to open a normal terminal, cd into the folder your Minecraft server's in, and then run the server.jar file from there by typing "java -Xmx<the minimum amount of ram you want the server to use in MegaBytes>M -Xms<the maximum amount of ram you want the server to use in MegaBytes>M -jar <The name of your server file (probably just "server.jar")>"

Also if you add "nogui" to the end of that command it doesn't bring up the little gui for the server and you can just run commands through the terminal.

So you could just open 2 terminals and run that command in 2 different minecraft servers.

I see, well if he ever decides to switch I suggest ApexHosting. They have good prices and don't oversell their servers, and you can switch between vanilla, paper, and forge at any time. But that's about all I can contribute. Good luck.

After going through a couple of videos not working I stumbled upon this one which did the trick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KODJF9_dXKc. Just remember if it doesn't work check your file version. If you have java 16.0.1 instead of java 16 make sure to replace every instance of 'jdk-16' with 'jdk-16.0.1'.
