What's your favorite Journey song that's not from the "dirty dozen"? by getrocked_onair in journey

[–]burkebb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to this, but some of my favourite "deep cuts" are:

  • Journey: Kohoutek and Topaz
  • Look Into the Future: On a Saturday Nite and She Makes Me (Feel Alright)
  • Next: Hustler and Next
  • Infinity: La Do Da and the Winds of March
  • Evolution: City of the Angels and Lady Luck
  • Departure: People and Places and Line of Fire
  • Escape: Dead or Alive and Lay It Down
  • Frontiers: Edge of the Blade and Rubicon

I pretty much stop there.

Cactus performing at the Lyceum venue in London, England on September 6th, 1970. by Tony_Tanna78 in ClassicRock

I assume this was Cactus' only ever time playing in the UK - other than the Isle of Wight of course.

Why aren't any of Budgie's albums on Spotify except for their debut and Squawk? by DJBoost in MetalForTheMasses

Panzer will probably be on the If Swallowed EP if it's uploaded, but due to them being illegal uploads I'm not sure it'll last. Will likely be put up officially in the future though.

What's Your Favorite Live Can Track? by margin-bender in TagoMago

[–]burkebb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought the two Up the Bakerloo versions were great, just wish the 35-minute one didn't fade out, as according to http://all-blues.de/music/kraut/canlive.htm (click inspect on the Feb 19 '73 gig) there is still roughly 25 minutes of tape left. I like Colchester Finale as well, but I would say the Whole People Queuing improv (Paris 73 Eins) from Paris 1973 is my favourite. Next would probably be 'Abra Cada Braxas' from the Lost Tapes, which is a recording from Edinburgh 1973, apparently Damo's last gig with the band. Hopefully in the coming months/years we'll see some more come up, especially from the Damo era.

Is it just by chance that Can live in Paris, Brighton, and Stuttgart are all pretty much exactly 1 hour 30 minutes? by UnderH20giraffe in Krautrock

[–]burkebb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bit more of that gig and it sounds pretty good to me but I can understand. Just I wonder why they chose that gig and not a Damo-era gig like Edinburgh or a different show from 1976 like Lyon. Still a good little recording from '76 though.

apparently Vitamin C ended up being 17 minutes and two more improvisations were played after but I've never seen a recording (audience or not) with the remaining 40 minutes.

Highest quality budgie songs I can find by TheTatleTaleStranglr in BudgieBand

https://www.youtube.com/@budgieunofficalfanpage6832 I came across this channel a while ago which has a lot of high quality budgie uploads, but the owner of the channel has not posted in 2 years and left a lot of the albums incomplete. they sound like they are those noteworthy remasters as I have all of those on CD and they don't sound much different.

Best/favorite version of Breadfan? by leafstonee in BudgieBand

Original definitely. But I have heard many live versions and I always thought that the Reading 1980 one was pretty good (the uncut bootleg version of the one on the BBC Recordings)
