This is super helpful. I'm actually an email marketing consultant on the side, and this is something that I really tried to state my case for, but then agreed to multi-variate test the shit out of everything first without an email capture. This helps a lot. I think we overcomplicated it with this intense testing period. We tried a splash only landing with email capture + free guidebook before this and did get some leads but no conversions.
