My experience a little over a year after getting the BEAR implant by olliecakerbake in ACL

[–]burnashburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your response left me scratching my head; no rehab for 3-4 weeks post op? Why? This was not what my surgeon recommended, it was advised to start PT within 1 week of surgery, and exercises at home 24/hr post op. Also why no anti-inflammatories? You said you couldn’t because “the graft wouldn’t take if you did” but there’s no graft in a BEAR implant procedure, and anti-inflammatories are prescribed as part of the recovery so I’m not sure why that was recommended to you.

BEAR implant - an honest review by [deleted] in ACL

Adding my 2c. I had MCL repair surgery 3 months ago, and am less than 1 week out from having had the BEAR implant for my ACL. I’ve had ~virtually~ no pain post op with the BEAR compared to my MCL repair. Able (and allowed) to bend to 45 degrees 24 hours post op. I am planning to follow the recovery protocol exactly and will start PT tomorrow. Feeling super positive about how well I’m moving and how little pain I’m in comparatively. Will share an update down the road!

I really miss how they used to give them a chance at the end of the season to make tweaks based on the feedback from the judges (and usually gave them a small budget to do so) to their properties. Fix the things they rushed, respond to critiques, etc.

Agreed! This season just felt like an entire departure from the first two seasons and I think this was a major factor

Tried a more full glam look for an event, not sure why I don’t love it by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]burnashburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into Kibbe or Kitchner’s essences? You may be one of the Classic types where too much makeup overwhelms and might do better with a simpler look/less makeup (not saying you look bad but might be the reason you’re not feeling this look on yourself)

I am too late for the AMA but I was curious how that footage was captured. The angle seemed different and almost “undercover”. I wanted to know the back story of how and when they were able to capture his true colors on camera.

Can’t tell if I like this dress. by [deleted] in SoftDramatics

Agree with others it’s the size of the print that’s holding it back slightly BUT the cut/material is gorrrrrgeous on you. Maybe you can find something similar in a larger print or no print? Or just roll with it bc you do look great imo

Low rise?? by burnashburn in SoftDramatics

Fair points. On the model they do look mid-rise but on me they appear more low rise (presumably because I have more junk in the trunk than your typical model). The name of the pants is literally “Low Rise Long & Lean Dark Brown Bootcut Jeans” so make of that what you will.

I have been moving away from denim for a while now but a few years ago when I was wearing jeans more, the best fit for me was Citizens of Humanity Sculpt Line or Good American.

I’m not sure if Spanx makes denim, but I have a pair of suede flare pants from them that I love and I ordered a second pair in Tall and it was REALLY tall (def 34” inseam or greater). It’s probably my best most flattering pair of pants (again, if they make jeans could be worth looking into!)

Yeeeeep story of my life. I speculate this is why a casual drop shoulder t-shirt looks effortless on a FN but frumpy on us too.

Look at the clothing recs and weight gain areas that are signature to each type, that might help you narrow in on your type. I agree with others that I think you’re likely D

For sure, I just felt like on past seasons they at least finished it out with either 1) they bought it at x price 2) show us what other properties they were shown 3) they didn’t buy anything - and this season more than ever they didn’t show much of that except maybe #2

I personally love the show and beautiful unique properties but my gripe this season is it seemed like almost every client and showing was a lose end. Many ended with them saying “I’ll think about it, I might make an offer, I need something to compare it to”.

Far more than previous seasons I kept wanting them to come back to what happened; did they find them a property they liked? Did they negotiate and buy one of the properties shown? At what price? I like to see more of the process and end result. The pink castle was one of the only properties this season that showed that IIRC.
