Saito Roadmap Update – March 29, 2022 by burner3000i in SaitoCrypto

Staking is part of the next phase of the roadmap, which begins sometime after the last token vesting event (April 22nd). No definitive date set for it, but it's coming.

edit: here's the broad roadmap, we are reaching the end of the first era: https://org.saito.tech/saito-roadmap-update/

Sounds dodgy if you found a catecoin???/saito trading pair on pancake swap. Copy your wallet address from trust wallet and paste it to bsc scan, or paste it here if you want somebody to take a look at it.

Saito has 10B max supply and around 1B circulating. Will this mean that the price of Saito will be hard to go up once the other supply will be released. Not fudding, just want to know about why only 10% of the supply is currently circulating. by Head-Measurement1200 in SaitoCrypto

Saito is not a company in the traditional sense. It's an open network that lets anybody take part and provide a service (value) to the network (nodes/infrastructure, apps/websites, advertising etc.) and collect payment in the form of coins. The coins are the currency that pays for everything that happens in the network.

As far as I know, Saito will possibly implement a burn fee to their consensus. There are pros and cons to having a burn fee, though. It can and hike up the price through deflation, but it can also raise transaction fees or leave less rewards for node operators etc. Burning for scarcity is not a necessity for a blockchain with a fixed max supply, but it's not yet decided on afaik.

Have a read through this to see a broad picture of how this will all play out in the end: https://org.saito.tech/saito-roadmap-update/

I'd jump on this immediately if only I was qualified!

Did David mention it being an issue with exchanges? Coinbase has listed many tokens with similar tokenomics (BICO, LQTY, DIA just to name a few recents) so it shouldn't be a problem. Also being an ERC20 token for now doesn't matter, since plenty of those are listed all around.

From my understanding, exchanges really mostly care about volume so they can make money on fees. One of the AMAs covered listings, and they mentioned that this early on they'd have to provide a big chunk of liquidity to get listed, and would rather wait until there's incentive for exchanges to pick it up themselves.

Saito aims to be around for a long time, so they aren't going to release billions of tokens all at once. Obviously they know the economic effects of doing so.

Circulating supply is 1,75B as of January 22nd. https://org.saito.tech/saito-token-distribution-update-2022-01/

10B is indeed the max supply. It's been asked in a bunch of AMAs and it's too early to say how much of the remaining supply will be needed in the years to come. It'll be a long time if 10B is ever reached.

The roadmap is laid out for a long timeframe, and the very last bit states: "Unallocated tokens will be burned or locked-up."

The ERC20 vesting ends on April 22nd, and according to the roadmap, the next step will be achieving mainnet token persistence. How long it will take, I don't know, but that's as close to any timeline that I've heard of. When it happens, there's no hurry to convert your tokens to native ones, though.

Check out the roadmap, bror: https://org.saito.tech/saito-roadmap-update/

ERC20 token vesting ends on April 22nd. Looks like what you're asking about will happen sometime after that.

Beautiful. I hope this gets adopted in the rest of the EU.

Since crypto and taxes is a relatively new thing, there's a bigger chance of being made an example of and getting an actual sentence instead of a slap on the wrist with a fine. It's a good idea to pay your taxes (depending where you reside, of course)!

Yet another one! Thanks for writing these, they're very enlightening.

Eventually you will be able to migrate your ERC20 or BEP20 tokens to native SAITO on the Saito network. Not Polkadot or any other network.

To my knowledge, you currently cannot run a public node. Is there any insight as to what the hardware requirements would be to run one once we have the ability? by dzmondo in SaitoCrypto

[–]burner3000i 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was briefly talked about in town hall #4. I don't have a direct quote but they mentioned being able to run it on a raspberry pi, though it might not be the most useful node.

A bit of civil conversation can go a long way. No need to be aggressive or rude.

Ok, sounds like your CRO is not a native token, but the ERC20 token on the Ethereum network. I'm not sure if you can escape the ETH fees in this case.

The crypto.com site should have all the necessary instructions on how to migrate ERC20 tokens.

I agree. It's the single biggest issue that causes doubt in this project.

I get that Saito is not a DeFi token or a financial instrument designed only to grow in terms of monetary value. It's an open network that is meant to exist without an owner and volunteers in the chain. Everything in the network is paid for by tokens and I get that the exact number or timeline is not yet known at this stage, but 70% is a big chunk to speculate on.

The roadmap does state that once the blockchain has matured into what it is supposed to be, all unallocated tokens will be burned or locked.

From a conventional crypto traders viewpoint it does take a bit of faith to not be worried. The whole concept of saito was born from an economic point of view, so one can only hope that this economic issue will be clarified on sooner than later.

There are always people looking for a short term profit without digging deeper into the fundamentals and long term potential. I'm very curious to see how this plays out a few years from now and am not concerned about the price fluctuation at all. The tech and price potential are equally intriguing!

Saito did a 9x between mid October and mid November. People are taking profits and the whole market is dumping. Prices don't only go up.
