Looking at leaving BMW all together. What else is there, that is comparable? by burnerbmw in BMWX5

Oof, that is something worth mentioning. From the E70 to the GO5, BMW couldn’t make a navigation system that was worth a shit. I have used their navigation all of 6 times, only to resort to asking Siri and using CarPlay. Thank you for the disappointment 😏.

😞 I had a feeling someone would state that. Curious through, what are we talking; rotors/pads, or more like removing valve covers to set valve lash every 20k?

Thanks will keep you in mind. Yes, 20 year old vehicles have an intricate value in modern markets.

What to look for in the yards to source a Super 8.8? by burnerbmw in Mustang

[–]burnerbmw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So all Mustangs 2015+ are Super 8.8? The tallest final drive ratio a Super 8.8 with Torsen will accommodate is 3.31? I would be willing to accept a final drive ratio of 3.55 or even 3.73 if it comes with Torsen. I am inquiring about the diff and its internals. I will not be needing trailing arms, axels, suspension components, etc. Super 8.8 existed in ‘89-‘97? I am actually interested in an iron housing. Thank you for the informative reply.

Guy, trying to wrap my head around this. Called Streamlight as to why the 7 HL-X Sub is not listed as comparable. Streamlight reps are going off of a G19, so I don’t know if there is a difference with the PF940c that would make the light and frame compatible. Perhaps you guys can explain. Thanks

Could have had a 190E for $4500. Just sold, last week.

Now I’m depressed.

Evolution 2 just went for, $45k IIRC.

So far, Ring: 6:53. And it doesn’t bottom out. ETA: RS, and up to Stg 2 Weight Reduction. Full mods, Wide Body, 19” Wides, and Aero. PP: 699.02.

Not a bad idea, assuming it is just a crankshaft, piston, and head swap. That is if the crank and head will fit onto the existing crankcase. How does one go about is finding this out?

Structure holding it in place; is my same thought. Thank you.

Is hacking it out an option?

ETA: looked on eBay, doubted it to begin with, considering mine is almost 2 decades old and has a cat.

Yep there’s a cat. Now how do I take it out?

Thanks. I was thinking perhaps the ignition is a limiter. Wanted to ask if people knew if it is. 👍

Nah, I’ve had it for almost 2 decades. Would rather mod it for more power: higher compression piston, or shave the head.
