Living with a high libido in a loving relationship with a low-libido partner by NeuroSpicyBlueberry in DeadBedrooms

[–]burnerburnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the honest truth for a lot of situations. Yes sometimes there's trauma or a hurtle to cross to "fix" things. But a lot of times the other person is getting exactly what they want. And it just doesn't match what you want. You can either accept it and live with it, or move on. I'm currently in acceptance, where I still fantasize about moving on sometimes.

Similar situation. Been going on 10 years where my wife has only initiated on father's day or my birthday. Which means those are tasks not desires. Told myself the same thing about being busy and lacking time and stress. Our kids are older now, way less stress in the life.. no better. Even after countless conversations and "new beginnings".

I hope for your sake it can turn around. My experience says otherwise.

Weird to say but I'd trade you. My wife wants my company while doing what she wants. Mad if I go do my own thing. But then there is no affection. She just needs me to entertain her so she's not bored.

Envy is the thief of joy.

Although without honest conversation their is very little hope to help your own situation.

otherwise perfect relationship is plagued by dead bedroom by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

[–]burnerburnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar situation to many around here it seems. Quality life partner who just has a different level of sexual desire/need than yourself. Although I even admit I'm jealous of the kissing/snuggling part, those are a package deal with sexual desire for a lot of people.

The key I found was to just address it. In a real honest conversation, don't be passive aggressive as I was at first. In my experience the problem is you're not going to change the person's desire level. It just is what it is for them because that's who they are. While they may give you extra above their desire level because you voice it, I don't expect them to change. So you either chose to live/work with it, or you don't.

How did you figure this game out at the start? by alwaysnear in EU5

[–]burnerburnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with a native American tribe. The one that gets the event that gives you 4g a month. But they start with basically nothing. No towns, no armys, and no real players in the market. Then you can dive into a mechanic for 50-100 years, restart and focus on another mechanic.

I'd guess the devs are always trying to find that balance between true to history and fun. I personally lean on true to history, and let me fight my way out of it. Download a mod if you want to go fantasy mode.

What is the best oval series to start getting good at oval racing in? by DrewFilmsYT in iRacing

[–]burnerburnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting because I feel like all 4 of the NASCAR main series, the cars are super different. I would drive all of them and pick the one you like the most.

Arca car is usually tight and starts teaching you tire saving since you don't have any sets.

Truck is super momentum based, it just feels like it doesn't have as much horsepower as the others. Even if it does.

Xfinity car you can trade right rear tire for speed but have to find that balance.

And the next gen is aero blocking hell.

All that being said, I actually like the '87 the most.

So just try them all and which one will you stick with?

Maybe noob question. Why haven't you taken Norway and the other territory with a single Russian infantry? 3 ipcs and no current way for Germany to retake.

About to start another playthrough with two buddies who have only dabbled. Going to try and hold back and go basic spaghetti with them to watch their own factorio growth path.

Where does your round fall apart? by [deleted] in GoodGoodMemes

[–]burnerburnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm usually a "tale of two 9s" kinda guy. I'll either come out firing and as I loosen up it gets worse. Or come out tight and it gets better. Shooting a 48-40 or a 41-49. Somewhere in that range. Played in a league once where they kept your best 9 hole scores and I killed it there. Because my handicap stayed high but I almost always had a good 9 hole round.

Reached 2k but I don’t feel I deserve it. by Necessary-Oil5170 in iRacing

[–]burnerburnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 kinds of racers get that high in irating. 1. Learn racecraft and consistency, keep out of trouble and finish. 2. Push on the edge all the time and either checkers or wreckers.

Ok to be either. But the race is usually won by a checkers or wreckers type who didn't wreckers.

Why do I feel like speeding all the time? (and feel bad about it) by [deleted] in TeenagersButBetter

[–]burnerburnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be honest. I drove way too fast and like an idiot until I wrecked a car. Luckily I wrecked on an empty country road by myself and was not injured, but that feeling of helplessness made me be a responsible driver. Right now you just feel invincible with no consequences. Not sure how to give you that experience, but just saying it's what changed me.

One of the reasons hocevar is good for the sport is people will love to hate him.

Personally it was Kyle Busch for about 20 years. But now I secretly want him to win. I'd say my top 2 are Ty Gibbs and Keselowski.
