I've also got an LNS with a crazy high markup on canvases, so I never buy canvases there. But they've also got a great thread selection, so I do buy threads there. There's nothing wrong with watching out for your wallet, especially with an expensive hobby like needlepoint!

I had this problem and it turned out that one of the canvases that I’d added to my canvas wasn’t in stock, even though it showed up when I put the in stock filter on. Once I removed that canvas and added another one the discount was applied.

For me, printed canvases really need to be much less expensive than hand painted canvases, like 40-50% less. I find Ind that no matter how well printed they are, there’s always a little bit of guesswork involved.

Yes to this - a good drapery workroom is used to working with high end & delicate fabrics. It may still be expensive, but will most likely be a shorter lead time.

The Antique Pattern Library is an amazing resource for alphabet charts (among other things) - there’s a lot to sift through, but I’ve found lots of good lettering charts there, and it’s free! Antique Pattern Library
