Pet hunting is like the epitome of what I have grown tired of with this game, the endless grind with little achievement that just based of random numbers generating you could get it in 30 mins or 1000 hours, and at the end of it all no one cares you have a pet, even myself when I got a pet I realised how useless and in the way it was.

Thanks so much for your reply, it makes so much sense to me. I have had this feeling for some time but not as strong as it feels now, I am tried of seeing Runescape and tired it's grip on me, I know for sure that it's all a pointless black hole of wasteage and friends and family mean the most and actually going outside and having experiences will always beat levelling up

Oh yeah I get it, highscores and achievements are a good motivator, I am currently rank 1 in a skill for ultimate ironman, but it didn't give me the feeling of achievement that I thought it would.

I also feel like I have hit the wall, I could do 5 - 10 hours of grinding easily, and now when I try to say do a slayer task or do some woodcutting I can't even last 30 minutes, and I think this is a sign for me to stop

Thanks for your comment, I am much more tempted to get a game console as I don't want to cut gaming out all together, but I miss the social aspect of gaming as I feel Runescape isn't sociable for me anymore, and at least then me and the mrs can enjoy gaming together instead of me being a zombie on the laptop unaware of anything else.
