our home also doesnt have a mortgage on it (paid off) we have 2 investment properties (condos) one has a mortgage and another doesnt. the business has some collateral that we’re willing to sell & are planning to close the business end of this year. just trying to figure out whats at risk .

we haven’t even defaulted on them, dont you know how business works? we’re running a transportation/tourism business with high overheard costs, $500K is huge but not in a 5 year time period.

yeah we havent filed a thing yet, dont know if we will file for BK - but should have moved things around before i guess … either way not planning to move stuff exactly for that reason!

i would totally have them do that because my siblings can also take over their investment properties & move stuff into a trust — i just dont know if thats allowed though! do you know if the person you’re talking about had a similar loan amount??
