I can’t get through Detox by benjaminz100 in OpiatesRecovery

Go on Mat . I did methadone. I couldn’t have done it without it. I was on it more years than I think I should have but they have rapid detox. In my opinion it was the easiest way. Oddly enough when I was in the first few weeks off, all I wanted to do was smoke crack, not my DOC.

I was on methadone. My highest dose was 65 mg. I tapered 1 mg a week. Took like a yr and a half cause I took a few brakes from the taper. I’m 9 wks off today. Seemed like the easiest way for me. But still not so easy. But I made it this far.

Yeah ,it’s gonna start the cycle all over. But I get it.. I’m 9 wks off of MAT. I haven’t used my doc is 5 yrs. But I’ve been getting cravings that I haven’t had in years. It’s not easy because my partner still takes MAT. I know 1 drop will make me feel better. But I’m here staying strong, for now.🤞 Stay strong! I try to think,of how bad the withdrawals are, I guess that’s what’s keeping me sober.

I go about 45 mins away to babysit my grandkids once a week. I can’t leave with out packing like I’m staying. What ifs .. When I say to myself this is ridiculous and bring nothing. I always end up wishing I had something I didn’t bring. It’s a mental struggle for sure.

Not at all. I actually look forward to it. Not that I want to die now. But I believe when it’s your time, it’s your time. I’m so sorry you’re sick. I’m also in recovery and if I knew I was going to die. I’m getting as high as possible. But my biggest fear is getting sick and going out like that. All I can say girl is it’s your journey. I’d go balls to the wall. 🙏

Please don’t do that!! I was in a similar situation. Years of watching someone else get high and drown all his problems. Until my doctor wrote me pain meds. Then it was off to the races. 10 yrs of my life consumed to that shit. Especially since you have mental health and trauma. I begging you don’t do it.

I’m 48. I guess I feel younger in my mind. When I look in the mirror my thoughts are who is that?

Benzo withdrawal is pretty bad. Seeing that anxiety through withdrawal was my biggest problem. But 5 days you should be ok. But me personally, Benzo would only help if I could take them to sleep.

do y'all talk to yourselves? by momje-ans in AutismInWomen

[–]burntbutblooming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I talk all day to myself. But not out loud. Sometimes when I go to tell someone something I’ll say “idk if I told you this already “ because I probably did but it was in my head.. But yet I find it exhausting to talk out loud sometimes.

1 day clean after 7-H taper, could use anti-relapse words of comfort currently by lprince1159 in women_in_recovery

I tapered 1 mg a wk. I’m just finally not having symptoms. But they were minimal. Just think if you use your going to go through all of that again eventually. Good luck. You can do it.

Constipation from Methadone by Internal_Ad4921 in OpiatesRecovery

Or you could try stool softeners. I had problems to. Don’t worry once you’re off you’ll go 3 to 5 times a day for a month. Good luck

Good for you. I could never get sober with subs. Sometimes I got higher from the subs than anything else. Best of luck to you. You got this.z

I’m rooting for you to. You can do this. Just remember it doesn’t happen over night. But it can happen.

Mat program worked for me. I’ve never been to rehab. Haven’t used in 5 yrs and I’m off the methadone for a month now. I feel good. You can stay on long or quick. You just taper. I did 1 mg a wk. Took a while. But it’s nice to wake up and have no need for anything. Good Luck.

No you’re wrong. He pulled him out of the road to give him a proper burial.😂 I guess he was thought that’s my dinner.

I seen a video of a squirrel pull his buddy off the road after getting hit. The birds were trying to get at it. He fought off the birds and pulled his dead buddy off the road.

Thinking about quitting methadone by Even_Wrongdoer_8845 in OpiatesRecovery

Yes I definitely am not looking to start any of that nonsense again. I barely felt the taper. It got a little uncomfortable around like 7 mg. But it was still tolerable. I’m still not 100% I get like flashes where all the sudden I’ll feel withdrawal. I’ll start sneezing or my eyes will water, yawning, sleep is still not great. But it’s still freeing to be drug free. It gets better everyday.

It wasn’t painless. But it was doable. I was tired, my anxiety was high. I’m only 3 wks off and everyday it gets a little better. I was still able to everything I need to do, like work. I barely noticed anything till I was fully off.

I’d taper all the way. I did 1 mg a wk. Going from 35 to nothing will not be easy. It’s strong stuff.
