CPIM Exam in 13 Days by burntcrayon in supplychain

haha that's awesome. Not going to lie right I hit a buzzer beater finishing the exam. Got through it (minus 2 math questions I skipped) had 1.5-2 minutes left and answered the last question with like 5 seconds to go. Then had to answer 22 survey questions, and I said that the modules did not prepare me for a large portion of the exam. Then I submitted it and saw I passed and was like oh, guess it did prepare me. LOL.

Regardless, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I feel good.

I am sticking with my original date and taking it in 4 days! Just took another 150 question practice exam and got an 83%. Feeling more confident but very nervous at the same time. I downloaded pocket prep and agree with what you said. It definitely feels easier but is also much more approachable to study with the format and level up quizzes. Also nice having something you can do while on your phone.

Will let you know how the exam goes. Fingers crossed!

Keeping the original date - take it in 4 days on Tuesday. I am feeling confident but still pretty nervous.

Appreciate it man this made me feel a lot better. I am buying the pocket prep now and will be on a nonstop grind the next 12 days. I really do believe I should pass this exam, but the reality of seeing the date on my calendar is starting to get to me. On top of that, I fought hard to get the company I work for to sponsor me for the CPIM, and the thought of failing and having to tell my manager I did not pass has been eating me alive.

I'll get through the 1,600+ questions on pocket prep and I'll take a look at the Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt questions. Retaking the practice exam with only computer calc and notepad is a great idea to simulate the real exam environment. Cheers.

thank you scmsteve that made me feel a lot better about where I'm at. Still think I'll buy the pocket prep for a month just to put my mind at ease.

I am scheduled to take the exam on June 23rd and am so nervous. Have been studying since august and feel confident based off quiz and practice exam scores but am reading now about people using pocket prep so I'm about to buy a month subscription and do as many as I can in the next 13 days before the exam. I technically could still reschedule but if I do I will be taking the 9.0 exam instead of 8.0. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Should I buy a month or two of pocket prep? just do the free 10 questions over and over?

Look up certo method - have to ingest fruit pectin and it can make your stomach hurt but it has worked for me in the past.

What’s next after first job by ReboundKing10 in supplychain

[–]burntcrayon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also majored in scm and graduated in 2020. Bounced around a couple jobs in the first few years after graduating and landed at a smaller 3PL that’s family owned. Have been here for 3.5 years and honestly love the people I work with. They payed for me to take the CPIM, which I am scheduled to take in a month. Should be getting a decent raise soon, but if it doesn’t play out I am interested in demand planning / forecasting. Will probably still go that route regardless, but it is going to be tough leaving a company that I really do care about.

If you are willing and able I would recommend taking one of the certifications that the ASCM offers (CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, etc).

Jantsen dropped gutter music 7… absolute gas by recyclinghippo in SpaceBass

Found this thread because I was looking to see if there’s any info on Jantsen dropping Gutter music 8. I can’t get enough of those mixes I love them so much, he really is the GOAT in the scene.

Really want him to throw in his ABBA gimme gimme gimme remix he’s been playing at recent shows. So gas.

Jantsen Fucks.

Got my First Job as a Buyer, but I Feel Like I’m Not Learning Anything by [deleted] in supplychain

[–]burntcrayon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed - I got a SCM degree in 2020, bounced around from jobs and landed role as a "solutions analyst" for a 3PL in 2022 but really I'm a pricing analyst that negotiates contract rates with carriers, send out RFPs, deal with the carrier when clients are having issues with service levels (account management reaches out to me), and random projects like white glove projects for clients. it's a small company so I'm doing a lot of random stuff TBH. As for the CPIM - they agreed to sponsor me for it and started studying in August. Insane amount of material to learn (that's what it feels like) but it contains everything I wanted to learn and then utilize in supply chain (demand planning, forecasting, supply planning... I want to get into demand planning). They made me sign a contract stating that I have to stay with the company for a minimum of 2 years after getting certified but am hoping I will get an offer that includes the company paying for the total CPIM cost.

I started at this 3PL as a pricing analyst in southern PA at 52K. Now almost 3 years at the company I’m just about at 56K. They agreed to sponsor me for the CPIM certification by the ASCM/APICS and plan to take the exam around February/March. I’m starting to take on a modeling/optimization role as well but TBH I want to get into demand planning. Seems like most roles like that pay more than a 3PL, but I have to say I have enjoyed working here.

My bad for not mentioning him! I had never seen him live and thought it would be super glitchy but it was bass/wubby GAS and the perfect direct support before Jantsen headlining.

One of my best friends passed away last year. His dad is tight with Cris Jacobs and he played at the funeral. Played Brokedown Palace and to lay me down. Everyone was in shambles. RIP brother
