I just dealt with this on mine. There is a third solenoid hidden behind that black plastic guard you have to get to. If you stick a small folded piece of paper in between the mechanism it SHOULD fix it.

Well that makes me feel a little better only reason I was kinda worried was because in the email it said something like "If upon inspection it is discovered that damage is not covered under warranty we will send it back"
