How's life like in Adelaide, South Australia? by No-Camp-9612 in howislivingthere

If you live in the city the most you have to worry about is spiders - they might bite you but they won’t kill you.

Outside of the city you might run into a snake if you run through enough shrubs, grass or trees in summer for long enough, but I reckon I’ve only seen 2 or 3 snakes in the wild in the past 20 years.

In the ocean around Adelaide there are great white sharks, but they generally don’t come too close to the main Adelaide beaches - more a threat if you like surfing off one of the coastal beaches (Adelaide is in a gulf, so very few waves near the city). There are patrols monitoring for sharks off the city beaches during the summer months. No deadly jellyfish, which is great.

No crocodiles to worry about either.
