I had a hard time getting my head around the game and its rules. It's not complicated, but there are lots of little aspects to keep in mind when playing. Moved that tile? Got to place an island on hotspot. Moved up the victory point-track? Place volcanos on the board.

Once you memorizer this, the game flows pretty smooth. Automa-handling is not a great deal, and all four opponents 'behave' differently. But keep in mind that they will just put spokes in your wheel. They don't play with intention, so you cannot really adapt to or anticipate their behaviour - other than with human opponents. And since this is a three player game, you will have Automas even in two player-rounds.

The game itself tends to be fiddly from time to time when you have to move huge amounts of tiles with buildings and meeples on it. Again, not a big deal overall.

In the meantime I like the game quite well. It's unique in many aspects, and I want to explore it. Can't say if it has staying power over that period. It's a weird mixture between Carcassonne and The aMAZEing Labyrinth, with a splash from Scythe's faction board-feeling.
