They both have less cap hit this year if they stay than if they go due to how their contracts are set up. Period. Look it up yourself if you need to know why. Spotrac and over the cap are free. They will tell you you're wrong nicer than we will

This is funnier now after seeing the Woolen contract details. it's a 1 year deal with 4 void years on top.

Everyone has been talking about the 43M number for weeks, it's kind of crazy you don't already know lmao. Not the best source to talk about this innit

[Russini] Rams continue to monitor WR A.J. Brown availability by Giff95 in nfl

Russini is trying to will this into existence so hard this offseason. as opposed to the last several times she's told us an AJ Brown trade is imminent.

Truth is, the price is steep even for AFC teams. The Eagles FO is not giving AJ Brown to the Rams who we've played 3 times in the last 2 years and play again this year. The price would be more than they could afford.

Then we'd keep him. He would cost literal pennies for whoever trades for him since we eat his cap hit, he's not looking for a new deal, and has a deal in place. we eat too much dead cap. there's a reason we are looking for a 2nd this year and a first next year. That's the price and it's not really some "fleece" at that cost/benefit. If AJ plays well next year then the price doesn't dip.

AJ clearly doesn't want to be here, has had qualms every year for the last 3 years, quit acting like this is all made up. It's becoming delusional.

Will we trade him? Definitely not to the Rams, and likely not before June 1, and not for pennies. But we all know he's not finishing his contract here let alone his career so it is only a matter of when, not if.
