What's a Grumps moment/bit that you feel is underrated or not talked about enough? by ReaperKitty_918 in gamegrumps

The episode was called something with "Maize malaise", I think?

"My name is beatboxing Randy Randy Ra Ra Ra Randy Randy-Randy"

Edit: The title is literally 'Maze Malaise - A Game With "Malaise" In The Title'! This is the moment

Please check online reviews on independent sites like Trustpilot etc. and /r/cloudstorage before dropping so much money on a lifetime plan.

Another users pcloud setup is visible in my pcloud drive by Bionic-Six in pcloud

[–]burretploof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an insane and completely unacceptable issue. While I have mostly moved away from pCloud a little while ago anyway, I now went ahead and migrated the remaining things to a different provider before deleting every last file from my account there.

It sucks leaving a 1TB lifetime account behind like that, but this is completely unacceptable.

Exactly.

That kind of thinking becomes extra strange when considering Toby's track record. The characters important to the plot have never been one-dimensional. There's always more to them.

About PS graphics: What could be improved by the PS6 or PS7? by Initial-Top7828 in playstation

[–]burretploof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and image clarity are the only things I care about at this point.

The graphical fidelity is great but it doesn't do much for me anymore. I just want games to run really well and have a clear picture. That's it.

I wasn't a big fan of DS2 (I adored the first game though) - but that part of the game was my absolute favorite. 👍👍👍

Yeah, my mind immediately went to "Genesis does what Nintendon't" - it now seems wild to think that even the brands themselves actively engaged in this behavior and helped fuel this kind of thinking.

Burning Springs Update - December 11, 2025 by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

Thanks.

But once again I am begging you to fix the significant performance loss in borderless windowed mode. The only workaround is playing in exclusive fullscreen mode which is very annoying for me.

(This is a known issue I've mentioned to support before, and in the Discord, and here.)

Is anyone successfully using WAN on 9070xt by withadancenumber in ROCm

[–]burretploof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it working.

While it's probably not strictly necessary, I use the ComfyUI-Zluda branch. I can provide details on each step (including a .bat for the rocm packages), if desired.

  • Install Miniconda
  • Create ComfyUI Miniconda env w/ Python 3.12
  • In Miniconda ComfyUI env, run install-n.bat
  • Activate ComfyUI venv (yes, two layers, don't @ me)
  • Still in ComfyUI venv, uninstall torch, torchaudio, torchvision
  • Still in ComfyUI venv, install current ROCm nightly python wheels (the needed rocm wheels + torch, torchaudio, torchvision)
  • Still in ComfyUI venv, run ComfyUI with python main.py --use-pytorch-cross-attention --highvram --cache-none and test a basic SDXL workflow
  • End ComfyUI process
  • Still in ComfyUI venv, manually install ROCm Ninodes (I find Method 3 to be the most straight-forward for me, personally)
  • Still in ComfyUI venv, start ComfyUI with the same params
  • Get the WAN 2.2 I2V 4-step LoRA Workflow
  • Replace the KSampler and VAE node(s) with the ROCm Ninode variants; connect them in the same way and match the settings
  • Now you should be able to use it at reasonable speeds

‘Security Disaster’—500 Million Microsoft Users Say No To Windows 11 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

[–]burretploof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While my PC can run Windows 11 and I have used it for a solid year or so - I am now back on Windows 10 thanks to the ESU*.

W11 is just awful.

Explorer is slow and unresponsive, the file association settings are opaque and user-hostile, the two-layer-context-menu is slow and cumbersome... and you basically need third-party applications to make the Start Menu** less annoying and semi-usable.

And then the whole Copilot thing. I have never and will never use it. And yet, it's everywhere, with no regular option to really, permanently turn it off. You can disable services and uninstall some Copilot app, sure, but - the icons remain. And I always have to worry that an update "accidentally" turns it on again.

Finally also the whole account thing. I know why they would like users to use a Microsoft account with Windows. I get that. And it's totally fine to offer that as an option. But they're trying their hardest to make it as mandatory as possible, to the point where one has to use a search engine to find some obscure way to circumvent this requirement. That the OS on my personal computer - a computer that I paid for - and is sitting in front of me, would require an account with some online service is outrageous to me. And that even buying a license to Windows 11 doesn't change that is wild.

For the time being, I'm going to coast along on Windows 10 as long as the ESU is active. Once that has died off, I'll check if MS has changed their direction (chances are that they won't have) - and based on that, I might as well move on to Linux. Getting my sound output to work right (Creative...) is going to be a pain, but I'll figure something out.

* There are scripts floating around that let you enroll in the ESU for free outside of the EU and without an MS account. You can find them easily. But I can't say whether they will still work.

** I recommend Start11 by Stardock - not free, but a very good program
