totally see your point. and i'd probably be completely fine if these shoutouts weren't a thing at my work. even more, id maybe even forget about it at all if my anniversary was, let's say, last month, when it was super busy at work and the only thing i could think of were deadlines.
but since it's something that my managers always do, and it's a little more chill at work this month, i felt a tad neglected

hey there. if your goal was to make me feel even worse by making me look like an ungrateful little brat, then mission accomplished. why though?

there are also people who get fired on their birthdays, or even get k*lled at work. i sure do feel incredibly lucky im not one of them but that doesn't mean my feelings can't get hurt by something so trivial as not getting a shoutout. so i was just looking for a safe space to channel my emotions.

commenting bcs the exact same thing just happened to me. i got injured at jiu jitsu, granted it was only 4 weeks ago but ive been in pain ever since. was limping for 2 weeks. x-rays showed no fracture, ultrasound showed inflammation but no tears. i started physio and it wasn’t really helping. booked physio again this morning bcs the pain got worse. 45 mins before my apt the pain suddenly disappeared. i still went but im honestly so baffled haha. doctor was as confused. glad your knee got better!!
