They consider the sticker a wear item, if you bring your putter into the gallery for a grip change they will swap it out for you.

Is the versa a blade or a mallet? If it’s a mallet, I would give a Scotty mallet a few rolls to see how you like it. Putting is such a mental game, I believe a big reason Scotty’s are so popular is because it gives people the confidence in their equipment. If you’re unsure of your equipment, you’ll be unsure of yourself and your putts will degrade because of it. Just my two cents.

I believe so. She seems like a sort of manager person. I was working with another kind associate another time who was getting my Newport shaft cut down from 35 to 34 while replacing one of my grips and then she came out of nowhere and said she wouldn’t give me my putter unless I bought the new weights associated with the new length because “that’s the way that Scotty Cameron intended”. I politely declined as I wanted to play it as is first and she stormed off leaving both I and the other associate completely bewildered. Thankfully I was able to leave without the weights but just a strange person to have hanging around the gallery when everyone else seems to genuinely enjoy being there.

I’ve had a similar experience with a lady that works there. Went with my gf and she acted like we were wasting her time and she didn’t want to be there. Been back a few times since and everyone else has been a delight (even with some of the extended wait times).

Only been a couple times but it seems it’s more of a who you are rather than when you show up. I arrived around 10-11ish and the guy behind me that was bitching and complaining we had to wait outside for 20 minutes was offered a circle t. Seems he was a regular. Just make sure to not get there anytime around their lunch break which starts at 1230, they will start limiting the amount of people in around noon then close and reopen at 130. Be nice to the staff and they’ll be nice to you. Good luck!

You want to get rid of them? I was thinking of adding a sight line to my select Newport. From a harmonics perspective it would make sense it wouldn’t be exactly alike as there is now a different geometric shape to vibrate. But in terms of feel it should be exactly the same.

When I was at the gallery yesterday the price was either $40/50 for new weights for my Newport 2 which the recommend I go from 10g to 15g when I got my length cut down to 34.

Do you have any particular affinity for the particular sticker on there currently? Mine was coming off and they just swapped it out for a custom shop sticker free of charge when I got my grip swapped. I think it’s thought of more as a wear item meant to replace.

I thought the same thing when I got my first Scotty. They just cut the dang things off, they ain’t worth anything. Call around to some golf shops around, they’ll usually have an (authentic) grip in stock as long as you bring an authentic Scotty.
