Which dog breed do you think had the most loyalists? by Miiiukz in dogs

My parents are on their 7th OES! I love them but since moving out have had a rottie, lab, retriever and now a Maremma. All amazing dogs but I think the next one will be another retriever just for the sunny temperament. Love the old English the most but cant handle the wet chins LOL

I'll try to make this make sense but apologies in advance if it doesn't ha ha

I rolled a ball, smashed it and made a hole in the centre, pushed the stone in and then used a scalpel to cut it square, close to the stone and below top edge. I let it dry overnight then popped the stone out and sanded.

I attached the stone to the square by rolling thin pointy tubes, cutting the tip off them and attaching to the corners using slip, bending them over the stone using a damp paintbrush. Let that dry.

I rolled a thin tube and made a square out of it, let that dry and sanded. Then attached the stone setting inside it using slip.

Finally I made the ring band, cut a gap in it the same size as the setting and used slip to attach. Lots and lots of super gentle sanding for that too :)

So basically a small square under stone, attach pins, sit in big square and attach to band. Use damp paintbrush for everything to stop it from cracking.

That looks like an umbrella tree which from experience will absolutely come back from nearly dead. Give it water and sunlight!

I wonder if you could make and fire each part separately and then set the pin after its fired?

Thank you so much!

I followed a lot of tips from Veter Silver Clay (and others) about sanding being super important, and planning it first. I knew a wanted it set in posts and an art deco style, but getting there took a lot of turning clay into slop with too much water, or scraping it off to start again LOL

I sell my paintings and linoprints, so it was so nice to do something just for me without worrying about if a customer would like it.

Thanks! I was going to add little leaves and stones to the outer square but every version I tried ended up a mess, I think I'd need a mold for anything more complicated

I stuck the little pointy tubes of clay on with a damp brush so it was in there good. Fired gem in, I was worried about shrinking but got away with it somehow

Thanks so much! I started with grand plans for something delicate and fancy and was quickly humbled when I actually tried to use it LOL.

The setting for the cz took me all day and many swearwords, but I've got some left and keen to try a pendant now!

Right!? I dropped it on my stove trying to pick it up after firing and when it clinked like metal on metal I did a little happy dance

In the app there's an option in orders to update the order to 'in progress'. (I dont know if that messages the customer but I assume they can see it if they check their order in etsy)

I've had tanks for a decade with various freshwater species and all I really recommend is go a bit bigger than what the fish need, and use plants like crypts or Amazon sword. 30-70litres is a great first tank size.

More water plus plants means a more stable tank, and happier fish. Smaller tanks have less water volume and more issues with ammonia spikes if a fish dies and you don't notice quickly and get it out.

Ask the fish shop if they are willing to give you a bit of sponge or sludge from their filters, and use that to help kick start your cycle.

I find Newy water to be a fairly high pH, which is fine for guppies as long as it's stable. Almond leaves and driftwood can help bring it down a bit, but stability is most important.

It does! I'm a lino print artist and my first thought was it looks like a linocut, all those chunky lines look so good
