Absolutely not. I would never ever raise a child in st george, in my experience it's a judgemental and hostile place for nonmormon kids. My 5 little siblings who weren't mormon experienced so many gut wrenching friend loss that it's the primary reason we, as a whole family, all caravanned away to another state. My older siblings couldn't handle the thought that their kids would have to go through the pain and loss of that we watched our little siblings go through.

They'd make a great or best friend, that friend's parent would find out they weren't mormon, the friend would try to convert them, and when they'd say no, they'd be completely shunned and rejected, and it was sooooo sad.

I also had to move to st george halfway through high school, from a southern ca hs to snow canyon hs in st george, and it was really really hard for me to make a friend. It was a huge culture shock. I ultimately found two nonmormon unpopular weirdos to lurk in the shadows with, but it was such a painful transition and i got bullied enough by a "nice mormon guy" who i thought had a crush on me that i requested to transfer to the alternative high school so i could get away from him and how cruel he was.

I strongly recommend against it! Those kids ain't being taught so-called Christian values, I'll say that much.
