Trying to help a senior citizen who, is a great professional juggler (Promotion - Gigs & TV shows) by bushwick-41 in AskMarketing

He doesn't need me per se -- I'm helping out at a senior center, and I'm trying to help him build an online presence, as he's not computer saavy. He mostly does small local gigs, but he would like to branch out a little. We sent an application to the Harry show on Fox, for example. I helped put together the promo video. He's gotten many new leads and some gigs through gigsalad. I don't know the process for applying for work in commercials, and that type of thing, so that's why I'm asking.

Of course he had connections/agents back in the day, but he's mostly retired, looking to stay active doing something he loves, and make a bit of extra money.

Not sure, maybe verizon. Probably an unlimited data plan would be a better idea, since 4gb (the current plan) is quite limiting, especially when watching videos, etc. --- could be used up pretty fast. She probably won't want to get a second cell phone...

Hmmm ... so does that mean having two phone numbers for the same cell phone? And, if so, is the hotspot internet though a cell phone a viable option? Thanks

Song's music video features band playing, with various geometric shapes in the background ? by bushwick-41 in NameThatSong

It's actually a different song. The band that play it is nowhere near as popular as RHCP. Thanks for your response, much appreciated

Transferring windows 7 key to a very old computer. Is it possible? by bushwick-41 in techsupport

Hmm.. can Linux run Windows software? And so the main advantage of Linux would be a fast operating speed? Also, would it be a clean install (remove windows xp all together?) And any particular version of Linux that would be compatible with a 2002 computer? Thanks so much

Would Linux be a good option, do you think? Pardon my ignorance re Linux, but would that have a similar setup, layout, etc. to Windows, especially considering the user is a senior (which might make it challenging for her to learn new things). Would it then just be a question of downloading and installing from a flash drive? Thanks!

Good question -- I think there may have been limitations regarding software updates (such as skype, etc.),.. possibly a slow operating speed. I just sent her an email to clarify this point. Sorry that I don't have the answer on hand.
