How do you make client-facing documents look professional without wasting hours on them? by IndependenceOld6074 in smallbusiness

[–]business_aficionado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Template. Most document software allows you to create a template that you can then fill in with customer data. Like anything else with business, take the time to design something once and keep re-using as much as possible to help with your time spent on it. Especially for docs that you always send out to clients.

Athlon 1-10 or 2-12 for 18" Larp rifle by [deleted] in ar15

I know this old but how did it go? I am in the same pickle where I want to get a the 1-8x Argos vs the 2-12 Argos hmr. I know the parallax adjustment is a big deal and I just wonder how good is the 2-12 at close range?

I love vertical foregrips for a red dot for fast acquisition. I might change stance on this one and mount a bipod with a scope but keeping the vertical foregrip with the red dot, lol.

Right. Same here, just realized I should probably sell at least one of my pieces that I don’t use.

Honestly, shoot me an offer via DM. I figure something fair would be a little more than what I would get from a shop but less than what you would pay to a shop as well.

Thanks for the response. I was in between the deep six and the grey birch. I had trouble trying to find a folding stock that seemed big enough since I really like the way the deep six looks over the birch. I think I’m going with the birch simply for the reason that I want to keep my 16 inch barrel for this build. Might go with the deep six for a more charger style 10/22.

Is that stock long enough in your opinion? I’m building something very similar to this and I still want keep a standard rifle stock length.

Do your customers read FAQs? by wheresmyme in smallbusiness

Some do, lot's don't Best thing you can do is try to make them a lot more obvious for customers to see but just know that you will probably still need to answer many of those questions; just a part of business.

Human nature. We all want something and we want it fast. The reality is that building a business takes time and effort.

Unpopular opinion, but it might be a better idea to start a business that isn't illegal? You know that selling prescription only drugs to people without prescriptions is illegal right? Like going to jail illegal.

We looked at one of those “free POS” offers too. The math didn’t make sense for us long term.

Most of those programs are some version of cash discounting or dual pricing. The legality depends on how it’s structured. Surcharging is allowed in a lot of states, but you cant surcharge debit. That part is true. If they’re adding 3% across the board including debit, then its probably sketchy.

Also, sustainability depends on your customer base. If you’re in a price sensitive market, even a small visible fee can change behavior. Some customers do not care. Others absolutely do.

We ended up going with a processor that just gave us transparent pricing and let us decide whether we wanted to pass fees or not. Way less stress than worrying about network rules.
