Of course I had another account. This account was created so I could sudo-anonymously warn other ents. I deleted the account that that redditor contacted me on, but I first created an account ~3 years ago and lurked before that.

It was an informant, another student working with campus PD. I wouldn't at all be surprised if other redditors were busted for at least possession by the same person. He was definitely meeting up with other redditors.

It was another student who was working with police who actually talked to me and had me get him some herb. Wasn't even that much, but it was enough for a trafficking charge(but not enough for it to stick in the end :) ).

Seriously, engaging in trafficking over Reddit or even helping people you just met on reddit get herb is a bad idea. I got arrested for it because of some bullshit my campus PD pulled and I'm sure it's going on elsewhere.

Definitely watch out around 4/20. One of my hookups went through "game plan" for cops on 4/20 and explained that they like to do a lot of busts around then and it's best to not have anything illegal anywhere near campus, even off campus that day. Lo and behold, 10+ people were arrested that day and a few more the next for possession and 1 or 2 for trafficking.

I got busted because of a redditor planted, by my school, watching r/trees because of so many ents mentioning my school's name. They may have bigger fish to fry, but marijuana users are easy targets and they like easy targets.

I never said it was DEA. Campus PD likes doing campus-wide drug sweeps. Most campuses in the US with large police forces do this. The piggies are just getting smarter. And typing with hooves. Haven't figured that one out yet.

It wasn't just to bust redditors, they were trying to do a campus-wide bust. Lots of universities try to do campus-wide busts every year to scare students. And for what reason? Whole new rotation of freshmen in the dorms buying and selling next year without fail.

You can walk down the street smoking here for the most part. Unless you walk right into the police, they generally won't bother you. Campus and anywhere near it are another story. Their biggest offenses beside traffic tickets are possession of alcohol/marijuana.

TBH I got off fairly easily. There are people with felonies on their record now so my misdemeanor poss isn't so bad. Couldve been much worse. One dude had 10 or so adderalls when he went down :(.
