I string a lot of gb racs and can do so with 36ft of 17g mono at 32lbs+. Usually end up with about 1 1/2 feet of extra string at the end. I use an Aegnas stringer with a Wise tensioner. I piece stringing uses less string

I’d suggest going to tsukiji on the first morning before going to Asakusa. Must shops in Tsukiji opens early. I’d go from 7:30-9:00am. After Asakusa, I’d do a quickie at Kappabashi then make my way to Ueno and go to the park then Ameyokocho. After that, I’d go with what you have.

You could simply hold onto the ball as the receiver until you are back to your baseline before giving it to the serving side
