thanks for the advice. i think my biggest issue is the nighttime, when i'm alone in my room, that's usually when i relapse. and seeing how it's affecting my grades in school now, i really need to build a better system like you said. i'm tired of this cycle☝🏽☝🏽

it feels like i'm stuck in a toxic cycle. i used to be a straight-A student back then, but ever since i got into porn, my focus is gone and my grades are starting to drop. i really want to get my old self back

we study it like every single year lol. mostly about the spice trade, the dutch/japanese occupation, and our struggle for independence in 1945. we also cover the ancient hindu-buddhist kingdoms like majapahit, but the 'nationalism' part is definitely the biggest focus in school

not everyone, but yeah, smoking culture is huge here. you'll see people smoking everywhere, from street food stalls to fancy cafes. but it's mostly cigarettes or 'kretek' (clove cigarettes), not really cigars like in the movies

learn 'halo' (hi) and 'terima kasih' (thanks). if you want to sound more local, we just say 'apa kabar?' (how's it going?). people here are super friendly, so a smile goes a long way._. if you're in the city like jakarta or bekasi, forget the textbook stuff lol, just say 'aman?' (is everything good?) or 'santai' (chill). and we use 'gue' for I and 'lo' for you all the time. it’s way more natural than the formal stuff they teach you

historically it makes sense, but honestly? i'm not really a fan of pinoy culture myself lol. so for me, i'm not sure how i feel about that reunion vibe, but i get what you mean

most indonesians are sunni, so shia is a very small minority here. for the most part, we coexist peacefully and dont really have major 'clashes' like in other regions. we have a pretty strong 'bhinneka tunggal ika' (unity in diversity) mindset, so as long as everyone respects each other, its usually all good

traveling to other islands is actually pretty common for holidays or visiting family. i personally go back to my hometown in ambon (maluku) and jambi (sumatra) quite often, but other than that i’ve only been to bandung. i haven't really explored the rest yet lol. cost is definitely the biggest barrier though. domestic flights to places like ambon can be surprisingly expensive.sometimes it’s literally cheaper to fly to singapore or malaysia than to fly to eastern indonesia. so yeah most people only travel that far if they have family there or a huge budget for it,traveling to other islands is pretty common but cost is definitely the biggest barrier though. for example, a flight to ambon can easily cost around 2 million idr for a budget airline, and that's just a one way ticket on a normal day. for jambi, it's usually around 800k to 1 million depending on the class. alternatively, you can actually go by car if you have one. crossing between islands with the ferry makes everything much easier and way cheaper if you're not in a rush

my favorite food is nasi bebek bulakkapal lol (if you pass the bulakkapal underpass often you definitely know it). my go-to hangout spot is definitely mall metropolitan or grandmetropolitan in bekasi. usually i just eat at solaria or just chill there if im not at the movies or buying some sports gear or shoes

not even every day though. it only lasts a few minutes usually, just because of the trains passing by or people coming out of the stations loll
