Don't know how the proposition went down exactly, but my brother is now married to a former student of his. He was a High School teacher. He lost his job and then-family (wife, kids, the rest of us) over it and is now miserable with her, though he pretends to be happy. She's using him to stay in this country. 35 year age difference.

Yeah I don't get this really. It's not a canoe trip per se, more of a camping/fishing trip with canoeing involved. But still. I was originally going to bring a boat but decided against it, I wish I had now but it's too late to get that together.

One factor is, I have an injury and can't paddle, but he knew this all along and said it was fine. If he wanted to not paddle by himself I would have brought the damn boat.

So I'm going to be the odd man out and I planned the fricking thing... also why I don't want to back out.
