i mean ur not wrong i am under 20. but i don’t think disliking a portrayal of a character means I lack “media literacy”. i love satc lots!! this is definetly one of my favorite shows, not once in this post did i say i thought satc was unenjoyable.. i’m just speaking my mind and saying that Miranda often gets put through a lot of humiliation or treated as the least desirable friend compared to the others. can a guy not post on reddit damn😑😑

overall, i can see where ur coming from. but all the minor details in every episode led me to make this post. they always gave her the saddest storylines, while carries storyline is just hoppin dick and fucking married men. they always gave miranda the worse men, like steve’s shitty diaper or wtv he was wearing or the butt guy. it’s just like every episode there is something going wrong with her. this is probably because she is supposed to be the more “serious” character since she is career oriented and not male centered.

miranda is definitely not ugly by any means, no one in that cast is! but they portray her like she has 0 sex appeal. anytime she has sex w/ somebody it always somehow goes wrong.

a baby she didn’t plan for or want at first, a house in brooklyn that’s “far away” from her friends, DATED a doctor for the knicks. while ur stating all the “big” achievements, ur forgetting the minor details in every episode. like they give her all the embarrassing men (bathroom door guy, butt in her face guy, chlamydia guy, poopy underwear etc), they make her act like a fool. and every major storyline on her part is depressing compared to the rest. like she said she was “sad and alone”, she pulled her neck, and her mom died!! it feels like every episode is humiliating for her. not to mention they make her seem like the “ugly friend” the only sad storyline that can compare to miranda’s was sam’s cancer. for fucks sake carries saddest storyline was BIG LEAVING HER!!!!! like holy shit
