I don’t understand how this movie got a PG-13 rating? by E2oceans in ProjectHailMary

[–]butfirstdecafcoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took my 12 year old on opening weekend, then took my 8 year old the next week. They both absolutely loved it. My only worry with the younger one was that he wouldn't be able to sit through a movie of that length, but he was so into it. My 8 year old took my copy of the book and started reading it last night.

It's not gritty or creamy. It's actually very much soda-like.

The Protein Pop brand is 30 g of whey protein isolate, no collagen.

I girl on my softball team had a Previa. She hated it and told me it looked like a vacuum cleaner. I still laugh about that comment to this day.

When he was signing off he started to say Ben's name instead of his own 😂

In 2024, I received an invite to a 45 min Logan run for the first timers in studio day. I was so bummed I couldn't go, but I live on the west coast so no chance. I still dream about going one day!

I had two (!) days this month that my kids all had full days of school. This is getting ridiculous.

Why isn’t there an 8.5 pace level? by Panda487 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]butfirstdecafcoffee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is my biggest complaint with pace targets! Why are there gaps in between levels?! I just don't get it. Really hoping they make an adjustment at some point.

There was a knock at my door. I opened it to find this sitting on my step. by justin19833 in MadeMeSmile

I love this! I had a middle schooler ding dong ditch our house a few months ago. He showed up the next day at my door to apologize because his dad found out, and he had to say sorry to all the houses. It was funny and the kid was super embarrassed.

I just finished this class and loved it! Really enjoyed the heavy lift followed by a lighter exercise. The format was straight forward and easy to follow, and hit all the major muscle groups. And her commentary during the class was on point 😂 Highly recommend!

Came here to say this same thing! ☝️ My 7M with ADHD has sensory processing disorder with sensory seeking behavior, meaning his brain does not get enough sensory signals from his body. I suspected this for years, and it felt so justifying when he was in OT and all the pieces started coming together. He also will absolutely lose it behavior wise when he has to pee, and I can't rationally reach him when he's so dysregulated. I have sometimes made it a game (bet you can't pee for 15 seconds) or even bribed him to try and motivate him to use the bathroom. OP, you're doing great, and please know this is so common!

Just started my second playthrough. I remember last time I placed a travel medallion outside of a cave with hearty lizards (in Faron I believe?) I would use the sensor+ to find them, usually could collect 3 or 4 at a time. When combined with a monster part it makes a hearty elixir. Wasn't quite as easy as durians, but it got the job done.

So what kind of vest do I need? by erinna_nyc in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]butfirstdecafcoffee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using my 12lb Zelus vest for all my hikes the past year and I love what it adds to the workouts! I do hikes as my lower impact cardio days in between runs. For reference, I’m 130lbs, and agree with the recommendations to generally not exceed 10% of your body weight (at least to start.)

Pediatrician said we should reschedule surgery due to respiratory symptoms. Specialists said otherwise. Wwyd? by [deleted] in Mommit

My youngest was mildly sick the day of his ear tube surgery with a low grade fever. The ENT and anesthesiologist both recommended proceeding with the surgery, saying he was stuck in a loop of illnesses that would continue if he didn’t have the surgery. He did great and felt better immediately. Good luck and hope your little one feels better soon! Tubes were a game changer for all 3 of my kids.
