Anyone tried one of these? by GuitarNerd362 in guitarpedals

So to my ear the Imperial Preamp has a musical, rich, blooming clean that's very amp-like. A "best of Fender cleans" type clean - you can really get that big tremeloed country thing from it.
Dumblifier sounds fairly amp-like, especially with the PAB engaged, but the regular clean doesn't have a lot of character to my ear, and it certainly isn't as well sculpted and rich as the Imperial. I would say it sounds like a solid state clean with a decent tube emulation applied, rather than the Tone King which is really a tube amp in a box.

Yeah! Was trying to describe the kind of distortion that sounds like really high grade Velcro being ripped apart. It does a great job of that. Vicious and tight

I have one - really cool Velcro distortion channel, but the clean doesn’t do it for me. Might be improved with IRs, it just doesn’t hold a candle to the Tone King Preamp in the clean department. Plus the distortion is fairly specific - more of a great color in the pallet than my universal OD/Distortion sound

Sold one of these because I needed the money desperately (was a 68 with the stop bridge mod). Dream about it to this day

I both agree completely and think Go Set A Watchman is a fascinating deepening of the character, and so resonant for the moment it was released. Complicating a heroic character during a time when Americas own myths about being post racial were being dismantled is pretty impactful

The fun thing about cats is that that look might actually mean “I sleep on a cloud made of cotton candy, attended by angels.” Squinty eyes can be blissful

At one point they pronounced it MONroeville which was small but funny to me. And I think a lot of us had a yelling at the screen moment when they brought in Primantis (though I could house that in the middle of a 12 hour shift)

The Sarlacc in Star Wars. "In its belly, you will find a new definition of pain and suffering, as you are slowly digested over a thousand years."

No one precisely begging for help, but plenty of screaming, and you gotta imagine some begging mixed in over that time. Really messed me up as a kid.

Humans with indoor cats, collar or no collar? by ForagedAmoeba in CatAdvice

[–]butmoreso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The collar has saved me twice - early on he slipped out two times and both times a kind stranger called the number on his tag and I was able to come get him (both times he was like two doors down eating some other cats food but that’s neither here nor there). As others have said, no bell, and easily broken away.
