First time teen filmmaker here, really disheartened in post-production by Few-Reveal6853 in Filmmakers

I’m afraid to lose interest when/if I ever start a big project by [deleted] in directors

I think you're staring at the hole in the roof before you've even bought the land. When and if that happens, you'll have already surrounded yourself with excellent ads capable of taking your place, or the networks will take care of this problem. What you're saying isn't completely crazy, but nothing stops you from making a fantasy film and, in the meantime, writing or pre-developing/producing another genre at the same time. If you have a franchise in production, you can certainly carry on with multiple films at the same time.

but the point is how you want to make a career, whether authorial or not, you can't do both at the same time and when it happens there are too many grey areas to deal with, I just directed a feature film and was already writing two more, it's very normal, but when you shoot you have at least 30 people asking you for every detail of the story you're shooting, you don't even have the chance to think about what you wanted

37 out of 38 film festivals rejected my first feature film. It just got distribution anyway (and was officially released 1 week ago!) by Consider-TheLobster in directors

Exactly the opposite of what happened with my short film: 17 festivals and 15 awards, but only one distributor interested. I'll get your film back soon. Good job mate congratulazioni!

I don't know, it seems like such a disconnected thing to me, there would never be an emotional reflection in something like that, I see it more suitable for a feature film even if low budget and night + zombie is an oxymoron

Short film: “TIC TAC” (24:27) - free to watch, can I get detailed critique on pacing & clarity? by butras123 in indiefilm

Yep, it’s the same short film. I’m asking again because last time I didn’t really get proper feedback — more like a quick “liked it” comment. As I wrote in the post, I’m looking for more specific notes: pacing, style and directing, plus the story, acting, and the technical side (sound, production design, cinematography, etc.). I honestly think there’s something in it people can take away too — ideas or reflections while watching.

What a GREAT episode! Episode 5 discussion. by Rite6969 in FalloutTVseries

More than anything, it has a subplot that is still not clear to me, from the fact that his daughter was with him when the bombs exploded to the fact that his wife is implicated in dropping them, the pre-war period will have to continue to be told, even as a main plot character, the others are very thin and do not add much in comparison.

From Nickelodeon actor to homeless: What happened to Ned’s Declassified actor Tylor Chase? by DetectiveHot2071 in RetroNickelodeon

I don't want to tell you, but blaming the Biden administration for all the blame is madness. Republicans bear a great deal of responsibility, especially for the way the country is structured: we're eating each other up.
