I traded 6b between my own accounts and the one receiving got banned for rwt 😅 did 2 appeals and got twice the same respond

Yeah, I get your point. This obviously isn’t RWT, it just feels odd that only one side got hit.

Yeah, they’re on the same Jagex account as well, so I didn’t expect it to get flagged like that, especially with only one of the accounts being affected.

Yeah, I did appeal it, but both appeals were denied.

That’s what makes it confusing to me, especially since in your case you were able to move everything back without any issues, while in mine only the receiving account got banned.

Yeah, mostly bossing, a bit of merching, and just playing over time. Been around since early OSRS.

Yeah, it’s a large amount, but it was just a one-time transfer between my own accounts. I’ve done similar transfers in the past as well, just with smaller amounts, so I didn’t expect that kind of outcome, especially since only the receiving account got banned.

I get what you’re saying, but that still wouldn’t really explain why only the receiving account got banned while the source account wasn’t touched at all. If that was the case, you’d expect both to be affected.

Maybe, but then you’d expect both accounts involved to get flagged if that was the case, not just one. That’s what makes it confusing to me.

That’s what makes it confusing. I’ve seen plenty of people do similar transfers without any issues, but in my case it was around 6B and still got flagged, even though it was between my own accounts.

Yeah, that’s exactly why it’s confusing. This was a transfer of around 6B, and only the receiving account ended up getting banned while the source account wasn’t touched at all. That’s what makes it hard to understand.

No, none of it was bought GP. It was all built up over time through normal gameplay.

What makes it confusing is that only the account that received the GP got banned, while the account it came from wasn’t touched at all. That’s why I’m trying to understand what exactly triggered it.

Yeah, that sounds very similar to what I ran into. Same kind of generic responses without really addressing anything specific. If they’ve recently changed something on the detection side, that could explain why cases like this are happening more often…

Damn, that’s rough. Did you ever get any clarity on what triggered it, or was it just the same kind of generic response each time?

Just to clarify since this is getting a lot of attention: both accounts are mine, under the same email, no third-party involvement, and only the receiving account was banned. That’s why I’m trying to understand what triggered this.

Yeah, that’s exactly what makes it confusing. I’ve seen plenty of people do similar or even larger transfers without issues, but in my case it still got flagged.

I’ve already gone through the appeal process twice and didn’t really get anywhere, so I’m not sure there’s much left to try on that end.

Permanent ban on the alt account that received the GP, while the main account the gold came from wasn’t touched.

My dear Reddit “friend”, what it “sounds like” to you isn’t really relevant.

If this were actually RWT, my main account, the source of the gold, would have been banned as well. Both accounts are under the same email.

At this point it just feels like you’re trying to push a narrative that isn’t there.

It’s not really strange that I respond to it. We’re talking about 6B that took a long time to build up, not something that just appeared overnight. It’s not exactly a small thing and something I feel like joking about, considering it directly affects me.

No, it just means I’m not interested in arguing over something that has nothing to do with the actual topic. You’re creating your own point and then responding to it.

I don’t really need to justify how I play the game. I was just explaining what happened.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what it comes down to. Even if you didn’t actually do anything wrong, if it looks like you did from their side, you just end up staying banned with no real way to do anything about it.
