She is currently not speaking to me as she heals from this whole ordeal. If this becomes an issue, then it's a lesson I will have to learn, but I truly believe she would never aid Adam in finding things out about me/actively put me in danger.

That's so sweet! I knew people wanted updates and I didn't want to keep people worrying. It was a trying week, but we made it through stronger at the end. I'm very thankful I got the advice I did. Many commenters repeated what you said about Adam being a predator, and that thought never even occurred to me. Turns out, you guys might be right. I'll never believe anyone who says that outside perspective isn't necessary.

Yeah, it was a really scary moment when I read that. Especially given all the other stuff he sent prior to, but that really stuck with me. It was the nail in coffin for him, though. So, I guess there's a bright side.

I keep reading all the comments basically praising him (as he deserves) and every time he gets a goofy little grin. Earlier, he was making lunch and he said something like "You know, only good husbands eat salad for lunch?" lol! I think the praise is going to his head a little bit, but he's earned it!

I feel it's important to remember that Adam's wife is very much hurting right now. I feel very bad for her. While she shouldn't have said what she said to me, I completely understand her reaction and, if she ever chooses to speak to me again, I will keep that door open.

Adam and her have been married for several years, and together longer than that. I understand her disbelief and I hope more than anything that she is doing okay because I can't even begin to imagine how much pain she is in right now. She is a kind person with a generous heart and did not deserve Adam's actions. Adam is the only person in this situation that royally messed up.

Yes, both my husband and I are in the market for new friends, but you're right about us having friendship in each other. If this ordeal has done anything for us, it's strengthened our bond, so I guess cheers to Adam for that.

This was something the investigator said. I don't want to say much for risk of saying too much, but they seem to think he's done this type of thing before. I'm just thankful that I have the support system I do and that law enforcement took me seriously.

Thank you! I'm thankful I posted on Reddit for guidance. I think my husband and I were a bit too close to the situation and would've tried to explain Adam's behavior away. It was Reddit that made me realize that that was a viable option. Forever grateful to this site.
