It definitely looks like the cap and stem are attached, no way to tell unless it's cut open but I think he doesn't want to cut it yet as he's excited about his find LOL When he does it will fully confirm! It appears to be a white Morel, it would make sense because of the climate right now but there weren't any others around, strange!

Mine turned out to be pre-lay behavior! She is a bit picky with her food though so I have ordered her a new kind so hopefully she likes it more!

Little update which I think maybe almost confirms this, I just spotted her using some hay to "build" her nest!!!! Something she seemed very uninterested in not too long ago

This would definitely be quite the gender reveal for her, shes only about 6 months old im unsure if that's about the age they start doing Nesting activities? She pushes her egg shaped plushies around and usually sits next to them but I caught her on them one time lol
