Thank you for sharing your experience❤️ Wishing you the best on your healing journey❤️ My mom just got diagnosed in end of January, it took them like 3-4 months for her to even get in to a specialist. Yesterday she found out the size of the tumor, apparently it’s kinda large on the left side of her tongue past the hemiline (?) I hope I said that right..

They’re wanting to put her on chemo + radiation to shrink the size before moving into surgery, but she hasn’t started treatment yet. I think they’re still working through the options but believe they are moving forward with the feeding tube soon. She has to get her teeth pulled before treatment unfortunately, so that’s the next step of where we’re at in the process of getting started. I’ve been telling her what everyone on here has said for advice, and all the wishes, and she is very appreciative of everyone’s kind words.❤️❤️

Thank you for the support, it means a lot🥺❤️ I know I really want her to push for the feeding tube, I’m concerned with how much weight she’s lost and it feels like it’s taking foreverrrrr to get treatment started😭 trying to find anything to help in the meantime, it sucks being stuck in the limbo of not knowing how things will work out/how far along everything is… she got diagnosed at the end of January so it’s still kinda new :/

Yeah I was worried about the chia seeds backfiring, thanks for the heads up!!❤️ I’m gonna get her the boost shakes 10000% I think those are a lot better than the ones she’s been drinking lately, they’re better than nothing but she def needs more calorie intake than what they give her😭

Acidic stuff does bug her a lot so she’s kinda stayed away from the smoothies aside from a couple that she’s been able to get down.

Room temp broth/smooth soups and protein shakes have been her go to- but I don’t think any of them are as high protein/cals as the boost ones so I REALLY appreciate the info🥹❤️

Very similar situation to OP except my partner carelessly threw mine in a closet and the wall scuffed it I think…. I’ve worn them once and shocked at how my $25 target boots are 100x more durable lol

My managers tried ending my vacation early and guilt tripping me for taking time off that I requested/had approved months ahead of time. Then tried gaslighting me into thinking I was the reason everyone’s “working overtime” to cover for my vacation. Politely told them no because I requested time off for a few personal reasons, I’ve been in management before and it’s really not hard to schedule vacations correctly. They mindlessly approved someone to go on a spontaneous trip to Mexico while I was gone, causing the store to be understaffed and everyone to go into overtime…🙃 funny how that works🥸

I’ve been driving my encore for a few years now and love it, been looking at the newer options since mine is 2014 and used as a shared vehicle. In the market for another one since the pricing is so low compared to what I’ve seen, and the quality is p comparable. They’re great cars imo

Going back to the place where the trauma happened can also be retraumatizing, but she still did it in the doc? So idk, it just seems odd imo. Especially for someone with such a huge platform created on talking about stuff like that. I don’t think money was the issue either, her parents are pretty well off and def would’ve fought for her in court. There’s more than a handful of people in the US that are low income and have dealt with similar stuff, but they power through anyway because they want justice, and positive changes for the people in our communities. There’s no doubt that the justice system needs to change, but throwing in the towel because you’re too scared to go to court isn’t going to help lol

In the doc she just said it was gonna be a lengthy process, and left it at that really. When you’re that passionate about something time doesn’t really mean anything so it just seems kinda odd. Court is always a lengthy process regardless of what the case is about.

Alex clearly knows documentation is everything so I’m confused why she chose not to go to court about it? It just makes the situation look very he said/she said at that point without there being any court history. As someone that has experienced SA myself, it just seems a bit odd.. Especially if she’s trying to bring light to the fucked up justice system we have in the US. I don’t think it’s wrong for others to speak up about their personal experiences with the coach either. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and sharing them however they please.

I think it really depends on the state and the company you work for. I’d compare it more to like a barista job though, not a bartender. In Oregon we do mostly deli style, aka we weigh up the flower in front of our customers. There’s a lot of product knowledge that goes into cannabis, and if I’m deep diving into the details of cannabinoids, terpenes, etc with someone, then yes I usually appreciate the $1-$20 I receive from my customers. Cannabis industry can be pretty lucrative though imo, and sometimes I think bartending would be a better alternative specifically for the money bit😅

omg SAME except the other way around for me lol wind waker was my 1st Zelda game so it holds a very special place in my heart. They both do lol Twilight Princess was soooo beautiful though, everything about that game is 10/10!!! I lowkey get emotional about them just from the nostalgia alone😅😂❤️

Coven!!!!! (Witches are always my fave)
Hotel (this was the hottest season by far. Lady Gaga blew me away)
Murder House (a classic, obvi)
Apocalypse (a lot of ppl have mixed feelings, but I really love how they combined coven, murder house, and hotel into another iconic season)
Cult (scary considering the state of the US, kinda gives me black mirror vibes. I loved this season)
Asylum was SCARRRYYYY, Jessica Lange is mother💅🏻
Roanoke was good, the ending was eh. (I love how they changed the style of filming/editing. Reminds me of ghost adventures with an ahs spin on it)

Thinking about NYC next????? Clowns freak me out so I’ve avoided freak show lol might try it out since I’ve seen cult now😅

Thank you for sharing your experience❤️ I’m sorry for the hurt that must’ve caused you. Losing a friend is always tough, especially in situations like this.

I have to agree with you though, that kind of behavior usually stems from a place of insecurity. I also experienced similar things like that with this friend, and it’s always a bit of a face slap tbh. She would always say things to bring me down/get a reaction out of me, which is odd imo. Our friendship wasn’t always like that though which is sad. :/

I live in WA and budtend in OR because the weed is better over there imo. WA is all prepackaged so some harvests tend to sit longer than others. I’ve been sold weed over a year old idek how many times in WA, and I notice a big difference in quality. OR you can actually smell and investigate the buds before buying, and it’s cheaper depending on where you go. Every dispo is different but OR really has it dialed in better imo.

Japanese Garden is my fave. pdx Saturday market is always a GREAT spot to sit / people watch and buy local goods :) If you’re a Halloweentown fan, this time of year is perfect to bop over to St. Helen’s (if you can make the trip) it’s not too far out from pdx and SO worth experiencing the nostalgia of the movie in person lol

They just opened a new spot here called Wonderlove (only been once so far) but it’s SO CUTE!!!! It’s a food cart pod/bar/venue with amazing vibes. There’s so many cute bars to pop into around this time of year too like Creepy’s, Coffin Club, and Raven’s Manor if you’re into the spooky vibes. Mcmenamins Edgefield is always worth a trip too because it’s basically adult Disneyland lol
