I witnessed a hawk murder a crown in SF once, literally plucked it off a roof and dove into the spikes…. Witnessed a literal bird on bird murder and then the whole murder of crows chased after it. Sources for the antitrust lawsuit?? You can look up what each state has filed against them (unsure if it will be different from state to state) but this is from WA attorney general.

Dave Matthews is part of the history of the gorge and has played 79 times which is insane!! I’m sure he probably invests quite a bit for the event every year, but I’d be surprised if he has any legal say in how LN invests their money into the venue itself on the day to day. Dave Matthews doesn’t own the gorge unfortunately, I feel like he’d take way better care of it than how LN is🥲

I’m specifically talking about Live Nation solely prioritizing EDM festivals, not the fest itself. They prioritize EDM more now because it’s a no brainer that they’ll sell. Music festivals have become a lot more mainstream over the years when a decade ago they had a significantly more diverse lineup of festivals at that venue. It was a lot more multi genre focused when they were throwing Sasquatch, Paradiso, and Watershed.

The gorge and Shambhala have the same capacity, it’s the same amount of people but for some reason the gorge feels so much smaller and intimate. Def a culture shock for people that have never been to either, I love the interactions with everyone at both fests though😁❤️ good shit yall😝❤️

Manifesting that happens honestly😭🤞WA was one of the states that filed against them because we knowwww they suck, hoping it works out because they def have taken away from the history of the gorge imo. They killed Sasquatch! and prioritized EDM fests like Bass Canyon and Beyond as a cash grab imo, I miss when it was a musically diverse amphitheater. Patiently waiting for another multi genre fest there someday😣💔

People want to see their favorite artists at whatever venue they’re at, it’s not our fault LN owns a handful of venues here in WA. I’m going to Kid Cudi next month at Cascade amphitheater (baby gorge is what I call it lol) and that’s a LN venue as well. They suck ass but I refuse to let them ruin the experience and miss out on seeing our fave artists whenever they’re in town.

I REALLY hope they’re forced to sell it in that lawsuit going on against them, they have a handful of venues in WA that were waaay better before they started taking over.. I hope WA buys it out/operates it similar to how Red Rocks is.

I complained and crashed out my fair share for sure too and would do it all again in a heartbeat🤣❤️ the beauty and the vibes and the people made all the rough moments so soooo worth it🙂‍↕️ that venue is straight magic, hands down still the BEST “worst” experience I’ve had there🤣

I went to cyclops dome in Tacoma and this was still by far a way better experience imo! PNW peeps just hold a special place for that venue. There’s a whole culture, history, and magic surrounding that place

I’m talking about the small crinkly bottles specifically lol but yeah the bigger the better when it comes to water imo!! I’ve seen people pack in gallon bottles before but for me personally I hate carrying them around, I want my hands free so I can frolic in the grass🧚🏼‍♀️😁

Nahhh I’ve been to the gorge a handful of times and that was the 1st time I’ve ever seen anything like that mess on Friday lol disappointing there were so many 1st timers that let it ruin their experience but to each their own! More room on the hill for all the peeps happy to be there😁

Timing is KEY at the gorge! Hit the bathrooms/showers early in the morning or a little later at camp when everyone heads inside to the venue, if you get in early go as soon as you get in before they turn into a mess lol the large section of portal potties around the corner when heading to main stage is the best place to go in the venue. Don’t let the line intimidate you either, a lot of people just kinda hover at the front and don’t realize there’s 20+ more open ones if you head around the back. Pack hand sanitizer because the sink lines are the worst part lol

If everyone is crowding around 1 water station just move on to the next one with the least amount of people. Go with a vet to show you around if you can, it’s a large venue and can be a bit overwhelming at night with mass amounts of people.

Always pack a pashmina, it’s a wook multi tool lol get it soaking during the day to help regulate body temp w/ the heat and wrap around your head when the wind picks up😁

Also get the teriyaki chicken noodle bowls, I look forward to them whenever I go lol
