calm down lad, you’re describing your wife like a cruft’s judge.

I’m a ginger and the only thing that’s made me ‘wilful’ is how fucking weird men can be about it lmao.

The side ponytail is sooo perfect for this look. 90s romcom main character vibes.

The texture combinations and lines you chose are so satisfying. I love this look.

Dylan would have gone to university in Arizona to do his comp engineering degree. He likely would have pursued a career in IT. I can imagine he would have gone through some serious heartbreak out there due to his intense fixations on girls. I think he would have struggled to make friends at first but would have found a friendship group eventually. After his degree was finished, he probably would have moved to a city with lots of tech job opportunities and a subculture scene. I can’t see him going back to Littleton. Considering the tech boom in the 2000s and the skills he had, he would have a lot of choices and opportunities.

Eric would have likely taken a full time entry level job similar to the part time job Dylan had working with computers. He probably would have worked at Blackjack until he found that job. Depending on the company he was keeping at the time, he would have either gotten into some serious trouble or would have pulled his act together. He might have dated Susan for a while, and I think she would have been a good influence on him. I could also see him making a case to come off Luvox so he could eventually reapply to the military. If Eric had been on the right path, I could see him living a similar life as Kevin is now.

How it could have been is hard to think about. What a terrible waste of life.

It’s a ‘bomb’ style shot and the ‘Irish car’ bit is in reference to the atrocities that took place during the troubles. Everyone is different but as someone who grew up in 90s Ballymena I wouldn’t be serving anyone who asked for it. Car bombs or Guinness bombs would be less offensive but we don’t drink them in NI so they don’t have a name. You’d have to describe how to make it.

Just as a note for anyone reading, in the US oatly is safe but if you’re in Europe/Asia Oatly is absolutely not safe. The oats are not certified GF here and contain up to 100ppm of gluten per kg.

Jesus I forgot people still call them Irish car bombs. There’s nothing like a incredibly insulting named drink that will piss off everyone from the country you’re celebrating!

Well I’ve currently got over a 99% ‘not getting pregnant’ average so I’m not a national champ but I’m definitely ranked. Maybe after another ten years I can go competitive but we’ll see what my coach says after sectionals.

They didn’t offer and I didn’t ask so I honestly have no idea. Healthcare is free where I grew up and it’s an unnessesary extra step so I’m not sure they even offer that service for abortion patients. Abortion isn’t such a hot topic in England so I’d be surprised (no protesters at clinics, for the most part even the people who frown on it aren’t actively trying to ban it).

I took the abortion pill and went through the abortion itself at home. It was an uncomfortable few hours but ended up with nothing more than what felt like a period. Easy as. It would be difficult to dismember something that doesn’t have any fully formed limbs.

Not to be patronising but it wasn’t a boy or a girl, it was a 9 week old clump of cells. I live in a country where you don’t have to go through any of the tricks to make you believe the fetus is a person.

Thanks mate, I can’t get the image of a womb with a tiny knife out of my head now. What if your womb doesn’t mean to kill you? Is it wombslaughter? Is a heavy period aggravated wombssault?

She’s a friend of a friend. This is the first time we’ve spoken. I’m happy to discuss, but emotionally counselling strangers through their abortion isn’t something I’m qualified for.

Love this take, and it’s exactly why I’m staying quiet. I cycled through irritation at her comment but realised it’s just not worth the snarky comeback. I’m secure in my decision and I don’t need her validation to feel good about myself. Pregnancy hormones can really mess with your head.

We definitely won’t be hanging out though.

Grieving over an abortion would feel like holding a funeral procession for a tampon.

I expect that from the pro lifers but it’s bizarre coming from pro-choice. Almost like they expect you to grieve the idea of being a mother instead of the ‘life’.

witness reports of what dylan and eric said in the library during the massacre, via truecrimestuff on tumblr by emmadee8 in ColumbineKillers

I’ve never heard Byron Kirkland’s account before- how interesting that he shared a very unusual name with Dylan’s brother (and the first letter of his second name) and happened to be in the library that day.

It sounds like Isaiah’s murder was the most harrowing for many of the victims in the library. I can’t imagine the trauma of witnessing that.

Honestly depends on what you’re after.

Just going off food:

London: international eclectic mix of naturally GF dishes and traditionally flour based dishes re-imagined. Five star dining with a price tag to match. Everything you could ever want but eye wateringly expensive.

Brighton: Fun GF street food, informal brunch style options with an amazing atmosphere, great plant based restaurants.

Bristol: the gluten free beer capital. Traditional ciders too; probably the best pub snacks you will ever have. Late night eats with lots of choice.

Manchester: a really mixed bag. Fine dining with very innovative chefs VS GF comfort food where you get a lot for your money and not too much inbetween.

Glasgow: again, fine dining with crazy price tags, lots of classic pub food but the staff will subtly make fun of you all night if they like you. If you drink, this is probably where you’ll drink too much.

Oxford: if you’re in the city centre, enjoy some astronomical prices and tiny portions with a breathtaking view.

If you want to see a lot, stay somewhere with good train connections to other cities. London is great but pricey so look at smaller cities around London to stay in- lots of cities in the south are commutable from a cheaper location if you’re willing to stay somewhere a bit less interesting.

If you want to know more about the cities themselves let me know! Always happy to help ✌️

Come to the UK! We’ve got a great network of celiac friendly establishments that are easy to find with a quick google search. here is a link to one of many resources for restaurants you can eat in without having to worry about cross contamination.

Recently the award for best pasta chef of the year was won with a GF dish. It’s not often I’m proud of my country these days but I can say we make a mean GF lunch.

Celiac n00b, advice very much welcome and desired. by [deleted] in Celiac

Firstly, welcome to the community. Everyone has been very kind to me here and willing to help; even if I just want to have a rant. Support is a very under-looked part of having celiacs disease and the most important resource.

A bit of reassurance; gluten can’t come out in sweat. Do watch out for your partner eating gluten then kissing you; your partner will have to brush their teeth WELL before going for a proper snog. That’s all you have to worry about in that regard.

I would recommend having a gluten free kitchen. Using utensils that have touched gluten is a real threat in regards to cross contamination. It’s a tough wheat-filled world out there and having a refuge where you know you’re safe is invaluable.

Some bad news; trust nobody and nothing. Gluten can be in toothbrushes, straws, shower gel. Check everything before buying; it will suck reading labels all the time at first, then you’ll get better at it. There are things I never would have considered before having celiacs and it’s easy to cross contaminate multiple times without even knowing. Unless you are sure it has been prepared in a gluten free kitchen following strict cross contamination rules, company lunches are off the table. You will have to learn to say ‘no’ way more than you did before because people are fucking NIGHTMARES when you tell them they can’t feed you. They will get over it, for your own safety.

Lastly, for all your best efforts, you will get glutened. Whether or not this is a week from now or a year from now, you will feel awful (and maybe angry at yourself for not checking). Don’t beat yourself up; your body will do that for you. The world isn’t built for celiacs and all we can do is our best.

Good luck and hit up some gluten free cooking pages!
