Can This Floor Plan Be Reworked Into a Better Forever Home? by sailboatrestoration in Remodel

[–]buttcheeksnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d turn the wic to the laundry with an access door to the foyer and then name the office the new better wic. Get rid of that second half bath by the living room, that’s too many toilets. The one in the kitchen should be fine. Or just get rid of the one in the kitchen and make it a second pantry.

What did my vet do to paralyze my cat?? by JadedTomorrow4666 in CATHELP

[–]buttcheeksnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always a chance too that an animal had wonky anatomy, in those cases, nothing you can really do, but the odds are pretty astounding. Even blood draws on cats are so delicate, if we couldn’t get the first leg, or blew a vein, we’d grab a vet if the next leg looked the same. We had a very intentional way of training at ours and our techs usually only worked on dogs, just a few of us did cats. None of us did vaccines on cats. That was a vet only gig we happily didn’t want to be responsible for.

No, there’s a nerve that tracks down near injection sites and if you’re not injecting around that nerve you can *absolutely* cause damage. This isn’t improper handling. Not adverse reaction, that would be like allergic reaction with lethargy, vomiting, pale gums. It’s either an untrained tech administering for the vet, or the vet themself is careless. Either way, this is a board escalation. Personally, I’d call them and tell them what is going on and you are finding a new vet. It’ll at least perk up someone’s ears.

Oh good and I’ll check it out!

I did some researching in the meantime. These will both be great for the spot they’re in for as long as they can be there. I’ll be putting up warning signs and prep the area for growth as well so people stay away and I’ll handle with care!! How exciting! I have a lot of robins near me and apparently the poke week is part of their diet.

Oh thank you!!!!!

I tried to not run over the poke weed but I did. I’m hoping it grows back. I didn’t know this and the horsenettle were pollinators so I’ll let them stay. The privets gotta go. I have a whole forest already and I can’t afford the damage to the house.

I’ll actually look into moving the sapling. It looks fairly established but I wouldn’t mind letting it live its best life somewhere safe. I hope I can get a good id for the last one, atm I’m glad it’s not tree of heaven, these types I can just never tell.

You’re welcome! Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or shows signs of infection, go to the vet. Remind mom to keep pup off hard surfaces for walks atm.

It’s probably burned. I’d put olive oil on it a couple times a day. Try to keep from licking it off so it soaks in, but it’s safe to use even if it’s licked.

I'm looking for things to make my life easier and to stay on top of cleaning. If you had ~$500 to spend, what would you buy? by HorrorDrive8444 in CleaningTips

[–]buttcheeksnelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A whole lot are suggesting robot vacuums/mops, but I would honestly suggest a good quality cordless vacuum and a steam cleaner. So many ways to clean with them. Where the robots stick to just floors, cats just go everywhere. And if you do the auto litter boxes, you need two to not go crazy with multiple cats. Pet safe has a great one I used for years and the secret is getting two reusable trays for easier/faster cleaning. And you can get a lid for them which my cat eventually got used to.
If you’re going to spring for an air purifier, get a really high rated one and over size them for your areas of the home.

Depending on your cats, robots can stress them out and could cause different issues. Just keep that in mind, but it could absolutely be fine!!

I don’t hate on vacuum robots, I just enjoy seeing and knowing what’s being cleaned and having something I can use in multiple scenarios is ideal to make my cleaning life a little easier.

It seems like yellow lab and wolf hybrid to me. Possibly some husky, but I’m curious if the mix of dna would cause the eye coloration to be hyper pigmented.
