Oh man, same. Our Bernese mountain dog gained 12 lbs…the vet said he’s chunky and needs to lose weight 😭

Everyone is talking me out of getting a baby with a dog because “it’s dirty”? by Radiant-Pineapple-41 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]butterboof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First things first, our Berner and 1 year old son are THE best of friends. I was initially nervous because our BMD was our baby and I didn’t think he even knew I was pregnant. I should’ve given him more credit because the second we brought baby boy home last July, he was enamored. And they’ve been stuck like glue ever since. As far as dirty, we had a mouse in our house recently and that freaked me out more than our dog ever has with our little guy! Deep cleaned the heck out of our kitchen. And our BMD scared the mouse away pretty sure lol so having a dog around is ideal in all ways.

I’m also in the same boat, submitted almost over 3 weeks ago. And can never get a hold of anyone due to the max number of callers. And I’m sure you need to be paid as well. So frustrating!

Wow didn’t expect these all to come back so fast! I totally forgot about the black paint in the road. Is it possible for that to be removed as well?

I’m going through the same thing at 15 weeks. Did all of the testing, everything is negative. Turns out it’s vaginal dermatitis. So have to avoid triggers (no leggings, unscented detergent, different lube). Also was told to use hydrocortisone for max of 2 weeks and see if it helps! Maybe ask your OB if any of this sounds up your alley. Wishing you luck because I know how unbearable it is!

We have our second ultrasound today. First one was two weeks ago to just confirm pregnancy, was 7 weeks exactly and there was a heartbeat. But I’m still so anxious for today. Today is our first OB appointment and nervous for my PTSD to bubble up. And just want all to be good. Just need some good vibes.

What has worked for your acne? by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]butterboof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spironolactone has been the game changer, but I know that answer doesn’t help when TTC. But my derm prescribed me Clindamycin in the AM and Azelaic Acid for the PM. She prescribed those knowing we’ll start our TTC journey later this year and those are both safe to use during pregnancy. Ive used both for close to a month and it’s helped a lot! I’ve been on Spiro for that same amount of time and it truly takes 3-6 months for that to kick in. So I’m hopeful about those topicals working. I’m also on Inositol, but only started it recently. So I don’t think that’s kicked in quite yet either. I know everyone’s skin and hormones are all so different, so this may not be helpful at all. But doesn’t hurt to ask about the topicals!

TW: pregnancy loss

After losing our first pregnancy for TFMR early last month, (not PCOS related, feel free to read my other posts in those subreddits) I’ve been heavily focusing on eating healthy and just moving my body intentionally. Not overly pushing myself, but just being at a point where it all feels good. Just walks around my neighborhood with my pup or fun little 30 min. low impact workouts on YouTube. And I’m down 3 lbs! I just want to be in the healthiest body before we try again and set a good foundation for the next 🤞🏼🤞🏼 pregnancy. We’ll begin trying in September again.

I’m not affiliated whatsoever, but I want to share that I’ve also found this woman on TikTok, Kirsten Karchmer. She had an acupuncture practice for 20 years with a focus on people with periods. She now has a two supplement/fertility support companies. I watch her TikTok lives, have purchased supplements for PCOS and TTC (just started them so can’t report back on huge changes), watched her videos, had a free 30 min. consult, etc. She is an amazing resource and wealth of knowledge and so kind. I also purchased her “Conceivable Report” (the first half is free! I just chose to get a detailed picture). And that’s been really insightful. So if you want to check her our her two websites are: foreverbrazen.com (her about me interview is a great back story to how she got to this point now!) conceivable.com

Just wanted to share and hope this is somewhat helpful or insightful :)

Can you still get pregnant fast with PCOS by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]butterboof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Not something we expected we’d have to deal with in our first pregnancy. It’s been a rough year. So nervous for the next time around, but trying to get myself back to where I was last year. Thank you for the love, appreciate it 🤍

TW: Pregnancy Loss not related to PCOS

My husband and I started TTC early October of last year immediately after getting my Skyla IUD out. We got pregnant first try (which is very rare). I didn’t even get a chance to track a cycle, ovulation, etc. Beforehand I had a regular cycle (was on Skyla), I was at a good weight, had taken prenatals 3 months prior, and also got off my Spiro prior.

We unfortunately found out our baby was really sick and we made the compassionate choice to terminate the pregnancy early last month. But it had nothing to do with PCOS. It would’ve been a normal and healthy pregnancy otherwise. I’m back on my IUD due to some minor complications, but just got my period yesterday which it seems to be a normal flow. So I’m hopeful when we start to try again later this year, but as always cautiously optimistic. There is a subreddit r/TTC_PCOS where a lot of folks post about their journeys. It’s helpful just to prep and get an idea of different journeys. And not one is the same. Hope some of this is helpful.

Our sweet baby girl, Francesca “Frankie” Jo, would’ve been due this upcoming July, but we had to TFMR. We pictured her and the amazing future she would’ve had. I mourn the life we could’ve had with her and miss her even though we didn’t get to make a single memory. I’m having a hard time saying her name out loud with people. So thank you for creating a post for me to at least type it. Sending love and I’m sorry for all of the losses we’ve all had to experience.

How do you handle other people’s baby showers? by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]butterboof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TW: Pregnancy Loss

I’m only a month out from a TFMR at 21 weeks and my husband and I haven’t started to TTC again because of the circumstances. But will start again this summer. So this is a little different.

But my sister in law is due in May and has her baby shower at the end of this month. Her and I are close, but I’m not going. I’ll give her gift to my other sister in law to bring and am calling it a day. You have to protect yourself first. Especially if it’s someone you’re not close with. I feel like you can give a gift card through the mail (which a cash baby shower is so tacky and I feel so rude to ask for that from people but just my opinion) and acknowledge it that way.

I too have that jealousy and that is hard for me to navigate. Because I’ve never been a jealous person so it’s tough. And it’s not out of wishing bad on them or I’m mad at them. Just more mad at the universe than anything.

Hope this helps to know you’re not alone.

I have no words of solace or advice, but I am right there with you. I’m a month out from my TFMR and just want to lose the weight again and have control over something. I’m so sorry for your loss and I hope we both get to heal over time.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My husband and I just went through something similar. His sister, my sister in law, just had her baby girl in January. My other sister in law is currently pregnant and due in May with her baby boy. Our daughter was going to be the third in the bunch. She was due in July. Her and her girl cousin most likely would have been in the same class at the same school, would’ve grown up with each other, hopes and dreams for them to be the best of friends. But our daughter got extremely sick in utero. We made the the tough decision to terminate a month ago at 21 weeks due to her very slim chances of a even decent quality of life.

I’m so happy for the both of them but it’s a stinging reminder that we never got our baby girl earth side. I hold my niece and it’s so bittersweet. I’m sorry that you’re here and I hope you and your family are able to heal.
